BOOK 2013
AS A PRODUCT DESIGNER
WÜIN has two main objectives: To provide safe drinking water and to change basic hygiene habits in Colombias largest indigenous community: The Wayúu. WÜIN uses a ceramic filter, a “botijo” to store small amounts of fresh and clean water and a vase to promote the importance of basic hygiene habits: cleaning hands and food before eating and cooking. WÜIN is a set of educational objects designed to be hand produced by the Wayúu themselves using local materials. MADRID / SPAIN Smell the Colors of Curiosity Exposition: 4 - 18 Dec 2013
HUELLA RURAL Encouraging the cultivation of organic vegetables at home, for self consumption and subsequent exchange with their neighbors is the main objective of this project.
In cooperation with Laura Pelfort and Sergio Ferrao BARCELONA / SPAIN Medal ADI-FAD 2013: Finalists NUREMBURG / GERMANY Bayern Design 2013: Sustainable packaging design for the international design centre
CHANDELIER The interpretation of the Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s masterpiece: Love in the Time of Cholera. The time of the colony, where Facebook, Iphones, or instant messages were not around. Two figures that never touch, a forbidden love, unreachable where patience and waiting lasts a lifetime: Fifty-three years, seven months and eleven days to be exact.
Hand made in Colombia. Collaboration with an artisan.
Terracotta Ceramic Gloss lacquered
RE-INVERSED The deformation of the female body has been an issue today. Perfectly transforming the imperfections. For most addicts, it is transforming the body into something almost unrecognizable. This project reflects this reality. Revealing the hidden and reversing the visible, making a distorted, asexual and surprising skin. A figure that eliminates any concept of beauty as a criticism of the thousands of esthetic plastic surgeries performed daily in the world.
SOUFFLÉ Plywood lamp with a filter screen on top of a LED light source that directs light as desired, bouncing blocks of color on the wall and on the floor. The height of both screens is controlled easily, changing the size of the reflected light figures. One week workshop with FLOS Madrid, Spain

BOOK 2013 AS AN ENTREPENEUR
the how of things The How of Things focuses entirely on the process. We are driven by our desire to explore process as phenomena and as physical transformation of materials. Our aim is to create objects and ideas that reflect our love for the process of creation, our scepticism towards production methods and our wish to share and include users and producers in our work.
Collaboration with Emilia Molin.
