Nike’s work transforms simple shapes and items, such as lots of straight string, into exciting pieces of art which are ambitious but unlike anything else. While she often utilizes a lot of colour into her work, she also has some monochrome structures which are equally as effective. Straight lines are structured and strong, Nike then bends these and distorts the object resulting in a magnificent final image.The Exhibition titled Liberty and Anarchy, combines perfectly with the white walled gallery and her work resonates the sculptures already there. The structures themselves exaggerate their original forms creating layers of repeated lines, shapes and colours. Aside from these Monochrome Geometric wooden shapes, Nike created an extravagant piece that requires a response and interaction from the audience.
