Creative Networks Proposal Laura Taylor and Hattie Windley
Creating Visual Memories Our concept is purerly based around the connection between the speaker and the audience - in this case strudents and proffessionals. We aim to create lasting memories through visual and interactive design which can be taken away and remembered.
For each speaker we wanted to give a little souvenir to all the guests and even the speaker themselves. For Mike Mignola we created a cut out figure of Hellboy. We thought this could create a talking point while networking and add a little bit of extra fun to the event. This can be applied to other speakers such as Wes Anderson (if presenting)for LIFF. For example The Grand Budapest Hotel (Latest production) uses props throughout the film to expand this we considering chocolates that were produced by Mendl’s - this particularly stands out in the film.
Posters We propose to produce a poster for each of the speakers by screen printing white onto a relevant coloured stock. The Posters will be simple yet effective showing an overview of the speakers most known achievements using imagery as well as a short description. The hand printed quality will add a luxurious and tactile feel that could not be achieved through digital posters.
Digital Content We also wanted to spice up the emails to alumni and students through the use of gifs to further grab people’s attention. We used the idea with Mike Mignola to take his use of inks and portray this with his name. Each gif will be individual to each speaker showing their style or personality.

Speaker Introduction To add to the ambience of the whole event we will be introducing each guest speaker through a short moving image/animation - this will be simple and consistent, showing the logo for creative networks and the speakers name. A monochrome colour palette could be used for the motion graphics as to ease the guests into the environment of the lecture theatre.
