Weight/Quantity If the weight or quantity of food differs from what is suggested in a recipe, the time to cook will also differ. Always enter the actual weight and quantity of the food being cooked.

Preheating Always follow the preheat instructions to achieve the best cooking results. When baking consecutive batches, it is not necessary to preheat the oven again.

Makes 4 servings

⁄2 cup ham, diced

Place butter in 1-quart microwave-safe casserole dish.

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Melt butter using the microwave’s Soften/Melt cycle and select Manual Melt for 40–45 seconds or microwave on HIGH for 20–25 seconds or until melted.

4 slices cooked bacon, finely chopped 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped ⁄4 cup green or red bell pepper, finely chopped

Tilt casserole dish to coat bottom entirely with melted butter. Add ham, bacon, onion and bell pepper to casserole dish.

⁄3 cup sour cream

Microwave on HIGH for 1–2 minutes or until vegetables begin to soften.

⁄2 cup (4 oz) cheddar cheese, shredded

Whisk together eggs and sour cream in a medium bowl.

⁄4 teaspoon black pepper, grounded

Stir in cheese and black pepper.

Simple Strawberry Preserves The sweetest spread to brighten any cloudy morning on toast or english muffins

Makes about 2 1⁄2 cups

1 package (1 lb) unsweetened strawberries, frozen and whole

Place strawberries into 2-1/2-quart microwave-safe bowl.

1 ⁄ cups sugar, granulated

Crush strawberries using potato masher (about 2 cups crushed).

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Stir in sugar, lemon juice and zest.

⁄2 teaspoon lemon zest

Place strawberry mixture into microwave.

⁄2 cup water

Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble.

2 1⁄2 tablespoons fruit pectin powder, sugar-free

Remove from microwave.

Microwave on HIGH for 3–4 minutes or until strawberries are thawed.

Stir in water and pectin powder. Microwave on HIGH for 5–8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture bubbles and begins to thicken. Remove from microwave then transfer to jars. Seal jars, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks and serve.

Tropical Granola A wholesome snack that’s perfect by itself or served with your morning fruit and yogurt

Makes about 5 cups

⁄4 cup (1⁄2 stick) butter or margarine

Line a 10" x 17" pan with wax paper and set aside.

1 teaspoon vanilla

Place butter in a small microwave-safe bowl.

3 cups rolled oats, old-fashioned

Melt the butter using the microwave’s Soften/Melt cycle and select Manual Melt for 40–45 seconds or microwave on HIGH for 40–45 seconds.

⁄4 cup sweetened, flaked coconut

⁄4 cup almonds, sliced

/4 cup honey

Add vanilla and stir.

/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Combine oats, coconut, almonds and brown sugar in a 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.

⁄4 cup tropical fruit mix, dried

Drizzle honey and melted butter mixture on top and mix well.

Microwave on HIGH for 4–5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread granola into prepared pan and allow to cool down. Break apart any large pieces that stick together. Stir in dried fruit. Store in an air-tight sealed container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Makes about 30 meatballs

1 lb lean ground beef or combination ground pork and lean beef

Combine beef, 1/4 cup chili sauce, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.

Shape meat mixture into 1" round balls.

Chili Glazed Meatballs A tasty meatball appetizer that’s sure to be a hit at your next dinner party



Makes 8 servings

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese

Place cream cheese in microwave-safe dish.

1 package (8 oz) crab meat, imitation, finely chopped

Soften cream cheese using the microwave’s Soften/Melt cycle or cook on HIGH for 30–40 seconds or until softened.

⁄2 cup mayonnaise

Combine cream cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons each of green onion slices, horseradish, lemon juice and seasoning into a medium bowl.

3 cups corn cereal squares, toasted

Place clean paper towels over large cooling rack and then set aside.

1 bag (2 3⁄4 oz) microwave popcorn

Pop a bag of popcorn using the microwave’s AccuPop™ cycle.

2 cups mini pretzels

Combine cereal, popcorn, pretzels and nuts in a large (2-1/2 quart) microwave-safe bowl and then set aside.

1 can (11 1⁄2 oz) nuts, mixed /4 cup (1⁄2 stick) butter

Place butter in a small microwave-safe bowl.

1 tablespoon salt, seasoning

Melt the butter using the microwave’s Soften/Melt cycle and select Manual Melt for 40–45 seconds or microwave on HIGH for 40–45 seconds.

Stir Worcestershire sauce and seasoning salt into butter.

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Drizzle over cereal mixture and mix gently to coat. Place cereal mixture in microwave and cook on HIGH for 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Transfer cereal mixture to large serving bowl and stir in cranberries. Store cooled cereal mix in large airtight containers or in resealable plastic storage bags.

Makes 10–12 servings

1 package (10 oz) spinach, frozen and chopped

Remove spinach from package.

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese

Place spinach in 1-quart microwave-safe bowl.

4 slices bacon, ready-cooked and chopped

Microwave on HIGH for 3–4 minutes.

1 can (5 1⁄2  oz) water chestnuts, diced and drained

Cool slightly then drain and squeeze spinach to remove any remaining liquid and return spinach to bowl.

⁄2 cup (4 oz) Parmesan cheese, grated

1 lb lean ground beef 1 cup onion, chopped ⁄2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped

Combine ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in 2-1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole dish. Microwave the covered dish on HIGH for 5–7 minutes or until beef is no longer pink and stir once, halfway through cooking. Drain and stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and seasoning.

2 cups potatoes, peeled and cut into 1⁄2" cubes

Combine potatoes, bacon, onion and celery in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.

6 slices bacon, uncooked, chopped

Microwave on HIGH for 4–6 minutes or until onion is softened and bacon is cooked to your preference.

⁄2  cup onion, finely chopped

2 cups chicken broth 1 can (14 ¾ oz) corn, cream style ⁄2 teaspoon salt

2 cups (about 10 oz) chicken, cooked and diced

Divide chicken mixture evenly over each bottom half.

⁄2  cup celery, diced ⁄3  cup almonds, sliced

Place in microwave and cook on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.

⁄2 cup onion, finely chopped

Stir together onion, pepper, oil and seasoning in 2-quart microwave-safe casserole dish. Microwave on HIGH for 1–2 minutes, stirring once, or until vegetables begin to soften. Add tomatoes and chicken broth.

Microwave, covered, on HIGH for 5–6 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble.

Stir in beans, chicken and corn.

CAJUN SHRIMP SKEWERS:

Combine Cajun Creole seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl.

8 oz large shrimp, peeled, de-veined, tail-on (21–25 count)

Place shrimp in medium bowl.

2 tablespoons Cajun Creole seasoning (see below) 2 tablespoons butter 4 (6" each) wooden skewers CAJUN CREOLE SEASONING:

Sprinkle seasoning over shrimp and mix gently to coat. Thread 3–4 shrimp onto each skewer. Place butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Melt butter using the microwave’s Soften/Melt cycle and select Manual Melt for 40–45 seconds or microwave on HIGH for 20–25 seconds or until melted.

Coat shrimp with melted butter and place skewered shrimp in microwave.

Spray 2-quart microwave-safe casserole dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle 1/2 cup stuffing mix evenly over bottom of casserole dish. Place chicken broth in 1-quart microwave-safe bowl.

2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 1⁄4" rounds (about 1 1⁄2 cups)

Microwave on HIGH for 1–2 minutes or until it begins to bubble.

2 celery ribs, finely chopped (about 1 cup)

Distribute chicken pieces evenly over stuffing mix in casserole.

1 medium zucchini, chopped (about 2 cups)

Distribute carrots, celery and zucchini evenly over chicken.

1 can (10 ¾ oz) cream of chicken soup

Mix chicken soup and sour cream in a small bowl.

Makes 2 servings

⁄2 cup onion, finely chopped

⁄2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 can (14 1⁄2 oz) roasted garlic and onion diced tomatoes ⁄2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

2 teaspoons lemon juice 2 cod tenderloin or orange roughy fillets (about 6 oz each) ⁄4 teaspoon salt

Optional seasoning: 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika

Spray 2-quart microwave-safe casserole dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Place onion, bell pepper and celery in casserole dish. Creole Fish Fillets A delicious five-star fillet dinner that’s perfect for two



Makes 4 servings

1 (4 lb) broiler chicken, cut into 8 pieces 1 1⁄2 cups barbecue sauce, hickory smoke flavored, divided ⁄2 teaspoon salt

⁄2 teaspoon pepper

⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder

Spray 10" round microwave-safe casserole dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Arrange chicken pieces bone-side down in casserole dish with thickest portions toward the outside of the dish. Brush 1 cup of barbecue sauce evenly over chicken pieces. Microwave, covered, on Power Level 7 for 25–30 minutes, turning over chicken pieces once after 15 minutes. To ensure chicken is fully cooked, wait until meat thermometer reads 170°F when inserted in thickest portion of breast. Let stand 8–10 minutes before serving.

Place remaining barbecue sauce in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 45–60 seconds or until heated. Brush over chicken pieces before serving.

Easy Barbecue Chicken There is no need to bake and wait for this delicious barbecue chicken



makes About 10 servings

2 tablespoons sage, fresh and finely chopped 2 tablespoons oregano, finely chopped 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped 2 tablespoons dijon mustard 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin 1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped 1 (4–4 1⁄2 lb) bone-in turkey breast portion

Combine sage, oregano, parsley, mustard, olive oil and garlic in small bowl. Lift up skin of turkey breast and rub herb mixture over each side of breast meat. Place turkey breast, bone-side down, on convection rack, over a microwave-safe plate or dish then place in oven. Cook using Manual Convection Roast, entering the weight of your turkey breast. To ensure turkey is fully cooked, wait until turkey is 170°F when inserted in the thickest portion. Remove turkey from microwave then tent turkey with aluminum foil.

Chef Tip Save time by purchasing premixed seasoning blends at your local grocery store

Allow to rest for 10–15 minutes before carving.

3 (4 oz each) chicken thighs, boneless, skinless, cut into 1⁄2" pieces

Place all ingredients into large microwave-safe casserole dish with a lid (or, if available, use a steamer vessel).

4 oz andouille sausage, cooked, cut into 1⁄4" slices

Stir until well combined.

1 can (14 oz) chicken broth

Cover base of bowl with lid and place in microwave.

1 cup whole-grain brown rice, uncooked

Use Manual Simmer, setting the time according to package directions.

Allow rice mixture to rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
