Establishing Professional Practice

To copy an object select the group then use the move tool (M), then press ctrl to make a copy.

You can use the ‘Follow Me’ tool in a similar way to the ‘Push/Pull’ tool, only this tool with follow a drawn path, first select your path, then the tool and then click on the chosen face.

This helps to get more complex, interesting shapes.

You can also use a circle as a path for the ‘Follow Me’ tool. Draw a circle on the red axis, then draw out a face for the desired shape using a rectangle on the blue axis. When you’ve finished drawing out the shape select the circle as a path and then use the ‘Follow Me’ tool on the face of the shape. This creates more complex cylindrical forms.

Using these tools you can create many things. To make this fence I made one object and copied it many times. To do this I turned the object into a component, once this is done when the component is copied you can enter a value for the number of copies you want.
