Establishing Professional Practice Week 9 Recap on paper space: Problems in paper space! •
Viewport window way too big for the paper? – First check the paper size in page setup manager. If the paper size is right and the scale is right it could be the plot scale. The plot scale is the relationship between the viewport windows and the sheet of paper. To change this modify it in page setup manager, the plot scale should be 1:1 in mm.
Array tool : AR = Array, this copies an object at a set number and distance around a chosen point. There are 3 types of array, Rectangular, Polar and Path. Rectangular Array:
Start by drawing a line with the line tool. Select this line and then type in the command AR for the array tool. A new menu bar will apper at the top of the screen , here you can set how many rows and columns you want and the distance between them. For this I have only want multiple columns so I have set the number of rows to 1.

Once this is drawn you can change the number of columns by clicking and dragging the blue arrows on the object.
You can also change the distance between them by clicking and dragging the red arrow.

To create this grid I have added a horizontal line along the bottom of the columns and then arrayed it changing only the rows and not the columns. Polar Array: Polar array copies the object around a central point in a circular pattern.
Lauren Manley 19/11/2012 Path Array: With Path array you can draw out a line to use as a path and then array your object along the length of the path.
