Board your flight to Lima and arrive later this evening. A Go Ahead representative will greet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Lima Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner This afternoon, take a guided tour of Lima’s historic center • See the catacombs at the Monastery of San Francisco • Visit Plaza de Armas, the historic “Parade Square” • Marvel at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Lima, built in 1535 • Delve into the archaeological complex of Huaca Huallamarca • Stroll through the Park of Love, admiring stunning ocean views Later, gather with your fellow travelers at a welcome dinner.
Day 3: Hacienda Concepción Lodge Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner After breakfast, catch a flight to Puerto Maldonado and check in to the Inkaterra jungle headquarters. • Navigate by motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River to arrive at Hacienda Concepción lodge • Learn about the differences between the primary and secondary rainforests • Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by a twilight boat ride
Day 4: Sandoval Lake Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner This morning, embark on a walk in the Tambopata National Reserve. • Learn why the Madre de Dios region is called the biodiversity capital of Peru • Navigate a dugout canoe across the mirrorlike Lake Sandoval • Take a boat ride to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, where you can climb the tall towers and cross the hanging bridges to see what goes on in the treetops • Catch a glimpse of the wealth of wildlife, including whitethroated toucans, squirrel monkeys and threetoed sloths
Day 5: Sightseeing tour of Cuzco Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch Take a scenic boat cruise back to Puerto Maldonado. Then, fly to Cuzco and get to know the city with a guided tour. • Delve into Incan sites, including the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) • Take in colonial landmarks, like the Cuzco Cathedral Afterward, travel to Urubamba, a small town within the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Day 8: Transfer to Puno Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Wake up early for a ride through stunning Andean landscapes on your way to Puno. • Stroll the Incan ruins at Raqchi, an archeological site on the Wilkanuta River • Make a photo stop at La Raya Pass, which—at 14,000 feet—offers an incredible panorama of the snowcapped peaks
Day 9: Suasi via Taquile & Uros Islands Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Today, you’ll embark on a halfday boating trip on Lake Titicaca, where you’ll visit two local communities. • Stop at floating island of the Uros, where locals build homes and rafts from reeds • Continue to Taquile Island, where islanders will show off their traditional weaving techniques • Arrive at Suasi Island in time for a barbecue lunch
