David Ralph Whittall 1951-2019
It is with great sadness that David’s family announce his passing on June 26th, at the age of 68. Dave will be missed by his loving wife Mary, and his children Doug (Brittany), and John (Sarah) and “Grampsâ€? to Finn David. He leaves behind his sister Sue (Bill), and brothers Rob (Jen), Doug (Debbie) and many nieces, nephews and inlaws. Predeceased by his parents and brother Richard. Dave had an exciting career beginning in a gold mine in the NWT, and ending in the cement industry in Montreal travelling to many places in the world. It is with profound sadness that the family of Archie MacIsaac-Vacon announces his sudden passing on June 29, 2019 at the age of 19 years old. Archie was a recent graduate of John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and previously of Westwood High School in Hudson, Quebec. He was a caddy at Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links in Inverness, Nova Scotia for the past four summers, and was employed at StyroChem in Baie D’UrfĂŠ, Quebec, for the current summer. Archie was a voracious reader, an adventurous spirit and a good friend to many. Archie is survived by his parents, Robert MacIsaac and Charlene Vacon, and his brother, Angus MacIsaac-Vacon, all from Saint Lazare, Quebec; by his grandparents John “Butchâ€? and Margie MacIsaac of Inverness, Nova Scotia, Larry Vacon of Middle East Pubnico and Lorraine Vacon of Shelbourne, Nova Scotia, formerly of Yarmouth; by his aunt, Joanne Dussault of Nominingue, Quebec, his uncles James (Debbie) Dussault of Riverview, New Brunswick and Jules Dussault of Quinan, Nova Scotia, and by many, many cousins and friends. There was a celebration of Archie’s life at the Saint Lazare Community Centre, Saint-Lazare, QC on Friday, July 5, with a reception following at the home of his friend Lucas Petropoulos in Les Cèdres, QC. Archie’s wake will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Inverness Funeral Home, 45 MacIsaac St, Inverness, NS. Archie’s funeral will be held at St. Margaret’s Parish in Broad Cove, near Inverness, NS, on Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. with interment in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow in the St. Margaret’s Parish Community Centre, 60 Shore Road, Dunvegan, NS. Archie was a bright and shining light, insatiably curious about the world, who inspired and challenged all who met him. He is sorely missed.
