In Memoriam

Five years have passed JOHN PITTARO January 6, 1941 - June 14, 2013 It’s hard to believe that it’s five years today, That my partner in life was taken away. From the time we were young, always together, We foolishly thought it would last forever. So here I am, I still cry each day, For what we had that was taken away. In memory of an extraordinary husband, father and grandfather. We miss your laughter and funny faces, the delight and pride you took in your family, and most of all your open loving arms. You are sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Always. Love your soul mate and devoted wife Pat, children Laura (James), Matthew (Andrea), Andrew (Jessica) and Erin (Brian), and your 10 beautiful grandchildren. Thank you Papa.

James (Jim) A. Doherty James (Jim) A. Doherty, 71, of Hudson, Quebec and Cornwall, Ontario, passed away peacefully June 5, 2018. Jim was the first born son of Howard and Agatha, dear brother of Rod (Sandra), Wayne and Terry; loving and proud father of Jason (Valérie), Tara (Dave), and Emily (Patrick). Most especially, Jim was a devoted grandfather to his seven grandchildren Dylan, Océanne, Marlee, Anika, River, Maya, and Autumn. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Maggie Kirby, his dear friend Michelle Sabourin, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Jim fought a heroic battle these past few months — his strength, courage, and determination will never be forgotten. His unwavering positive attitude and his love for his family are his legacy. Jim was well known for his generosity, his kindness, and gentle ways. He always took time to listen and to share his wealth of knowledge. If he wasn’t playing with his grandkids, you could find him driving his boat (or anyone else’s boat for that matter!), or chatting with friends at the local pub. He was humble and witty, and always managed to find the good in every difficult situation — his favourite expression was: “it’ll all come out in the wash”. We will miss our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend dearly. Please join us in the celebration of his life at the Hudson Community Baptist Church located at 3141 Côte St-Charles in Saint-Lazare on Thursday, June 14th, 2018 at 3 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, please bring a smile and a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
