Automotive life A bump in the road Dealing with minor accidents C.J. Maxwell Special contributor

Accidents happen. As do fender benders, bumps, and dings. And if you’re lucky enough that the only damage is to the vehicles and not the passengers, then count this as the most important blessing. If anyone is injured – even slightly – you’re required by law to contact emergency services. If you don’t already have a joint accident report in your glove compartment, it’s a good idea to drop by your local SociÊtÊ de l’assurance automobile du QuÊbec (SAAQ) outlet and pick

some up. Though a downloadable app exists, online reviews are not favourable with numerous technical glitches arising, according to users. Even if nobody’s hurt following a vehicular mishap, your adrenaline is \ " $6 $ be shaking and, as most luddites can H 6

Luigi Gorla

200 - CAREERS/EMPLOYMENT

1939 - 2019 On June 21, Luigi Gorla left us after a long illness and went to join our son Robert. Luigi was a man who was helping me on all occasions asking for nothing in return. We will miss him forever and he will always remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence in Hudson would be appreciated. Thank you... His wife Matilde

Cynthia Roberts Johnston October 28, 1932 – June 21, 2019 Cynthia Roberts Johnston passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019 at the Sacre Coeur hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, and survived by her daughter Heather, and son-in-law Daniel Fuller, who reside in Bend, Oregon. Cynthia was devoted to community service her entire life. She was committed to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Lakeshore General Hospital, Hudson War Memorial Library, Como Library, Meals on Wheels and always available to drive someone in need of a ride. For many years she was on the board of the Royal Oak Tennis Club and an active member known for her wicked forehand drive. As per Cynthia’s request, cremation has taken place and private internment at Mount Royal cemetary.
