Clipping services will be performed by Parissa Grooming. Microchipping will be offered at the reduced price of $25 per pet and grooming for $10. Numerous animals are lost every year and a large percentage of those pets are not returned, partly due to % $ / . C % % C J . % $ . $ more permanent. In the event your pet is stolen, a microchip provides a proof % $ & % . able over the past few years, and local microchiping clinics organized by non C J) J) 3 chat have also contributed to reducing the cost even further. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted under the animal’s skin. The procedure is per-

Arthur William Gittins died on May 8, 2019. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1924. He was married to his wife, Becky, for 64 years. His daughters are Amy Blair (Robert), Ann Krull (Bill), and sons, Bill (Kirsten) and Tim (Sheila). Arthur and Becky have 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gittins came to Canada in 1977, and became a dual US-Canada citizen in 2013. He attended Williams College prior to WWII, served in the US Army, graduated from Yale University with a degree in engineering, and later earned his MBA. He was prominent in the iron and steel business. Over the years, he was a member of HYC, Whitlock, Hudson Music Club. He loved riding his bike, cutting the lawn, enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and was a talented pianist. Thanks to CLSC, NOVA and Dr. Hryniowski. Funeral service will be May 18 at St. Mary’s at 11:00am, followed by reception at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
