February 26, 2022 Welcome to the 2022 Lausanne Auction: Totally Awesome 80s Prom! For the second time in the school’s history, we are hosting a completely virtual live event. Time and time again, Lausanne proves to be a totally awesome place. Our students, our faculty and staff, our parents and our entire community show up every day to help create a school unlike any other. Each year, auction proceeds fund crucial school enhancements not covered by tuition. This year, proceeds will benefit our faculty through the Faculty Fund for Financial Aid and the Faculty Fund for Professional Development and also the greater Memphis community through LynxServe. In addition, this year’s Fund-ANeed will allow us to refurbish our turf and grass fields, two central gathering spaces for all students. Thanks in no small part to the phenomenal support of our community partners, the 2022 Lausanne Auction is already off to an impressive start! Successful auctions are the result of true team effort. We offer our sincerest thanks to the Lausanne Parent Connections Auction Committee, Divisional Coordinators and Grade Representatives. For months, I have watched these volunteers work long hours in an effort to help make this year’s event a success. LIVE AUCTION FEATURING TRISHA BRAUER Going once, twice, sold! Taking Bids Fundraising (TBF) is based in Kansas City and is leading the industry with record-smashing methods to raise money for nonprofits. TBF believes in making our community a better place one auction at a time. Education is important to owner and head auctioneer, Trisha Brauer. She holds a Bachelors degree and an MBA. She completed her auction training at World Wide College of Auctioneering. She is on the Board for the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), and is a member of state associations for Iowa, Kansas, Colorado and Missouri. Trisha also holds the designation of Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS). This designation is awarded and recognized by the National Auctioneers Association and represents specific education and training in conducting benefit auctions. This designation has been awarded to only 3% of the nation’s auctioneers. In addition to helping nonprofits have recording breaking events, she is a professional trainer for the NAA and teaches auctioneers across the country the art of benefit auctions. HOW TO BID

Click ‘Sign In’, and follow all prompts. Once finished, you will receive a confirmation text message. Click the link within the text message; this will automatically log you into your personal bidding center. You may access your account at any time via desktop or mobile device.

Browse Items: Menu > Browse Items > Browse by category, or use the magnifying glass to search for a specific item.

Bidding is now open! Browse available items, and check back regularly, as new items are added daily. During the live virtual event on Saturday, February 26, you will receive important updates via text message. Bidding will close at approximately 9 p.m. on February 26.

VIEW YOUR ACCOUNT Once signed in, click Menu > Your Account to view account details including profile and payment information, bidding activity, receipts etc.

Bid: Select item > Click ‘Bid’ > Confirm bid. You will receive a text notification any time you have been outbid. You also check your bidding activity at any time via Menu > Your Activity. Set Maximum Bid: After submitting a bid, you will be prompted to set a Max Bid. This function is completely optional. When enabled, this function will automatically raise your bid for a given item by a set increment until your maximum bid has been met or bidding closes, whichever comes first. If someone bids above your set maximum, you will receive a text notification. If this occurs, you may set a new, higher maximum bid or continue to bid manually. Buy Now: Certain items are eligible for immediate purchase at roughly twice the item’s fair market value. If an item is purchased outright, the credit card on file with your account is charged immediately, and bidding on the item is no longer available. BIDDING TERMS & CONDITIONS

PAYMENT INFORMATION

All bidding will take place via desktop or mobile device; this applies to both silent and live items. Bidders do not have to be present at the event, whether in-person or virtual, to win. All items/packages are described to the best of our ability and sold as is. All certificates, services etc. must be redeemed in accordance with any specified restrictions and by the expiration date listed. Items are non-transferable. Auction items may not be exchanged or returned to the store or individual. The highest bidder on an item at the time bidding closes is deemed the winner of the item. A bid is a binding contract. All winning bids constitute a sale, and all sales are final. Bidding will close at approximately 9 p.m. on February 26.

All participants are required to place a credit card on file prior to making purchases and/or bidding. For all outright purchases (party packs, raffle tickets, donations, ‘Buy Now’ items etc.), the card on file with your account will be charged immediately. For any items won via bidding, the card on file will be charged at the end of the event (approximately 9 p.m. on February 26). You may view and edit your payment information at any time during the event; see ‘View Your Account’ above for details.

TUITION RAFFLE TERMS & CONDITIONS The total pot will be split, with 50% of proceeds applied to the auction and 50% toward the winner’s tuition. All tuition discounts apply to the 2022–2023 school year. Must be 21 years or older to enter. Participants do not have to be present at the event to win. Winnings must be applied to tuition and are not redeemable for cash. If the winner is not a Lausanne parent, winnings may be transferred in writing to a valid Lausanne family with the permission of the Development Office of Lausanne Collegiate School. Raffle tickets are not tax deductible, and winnings are subject to federal and state taxes. The winner will be chosen at random during the live virtual event on February 26, and the winner will be notified immediately thereafter.

END OF EVENT Bidding will close at approximately 9 p.m. on February 26. At this time, the credit card on file with your account will be charged for any items won via bidding. All participants who made purchases throughout the course of the event and/or won items via bidding will receive and end-of-event email detailing all purchase details, tax deductibility and information regarding item pick-up. Please retain this email for tax purposes.

PICKING UP YOUR WINNINGS Information regarding item pick-up will be included in the email you receive after the close of the live virtual event (approximately 9:15 p.m. on February 26). Only participants who made event purchases and/or won items via bidding will receive an email. All winnings must be picked up by May 31, 2022; any items not picked up by this date will be forfeited.

This distinguished collection features four library vintages of Far Niente Cave Collection Cabernet Sauvignon (one from each year, 2007–2010), patiently cellared in ideal conditions from the time they went into barrel in the wine caves.
