Worldwide Focus
We really had a great year! Second graders learned more about the choices they made for themselves and the world during our Choices unit of inquiry. Our next unit was Materials of Exchange where our focus was all about the history of, symbols, and designs of coins from all over the world. Next in Traditions, 2nd graders were engaged in activities connected to understanding that family relationships and traditions contribute to shaping who we are. Next up was our annual Holidays Around the World where each second grader visited Australia, Netherlands, Mexico, Italy, Spain, and Austria to learn more about the traditions in each of these countries with a passport and suitcase in hand.
