Whether in the form of annual giving, capital, or endowed commitments, this generosity and dedication exemplifies the positive impact LA has had on countless lives and the desire to give back to the school. That collective philanthropic support enabled us to exceed our Annual Fund goal of $1.4 million and provided an invaluable and immediate impact on our academic programs, the arts, athletics, faculty enrichment, and community life.

Adding to our enthusiasm as we enter the start of the 2016–2017 school year are gracious moments of individual philanthropic leadership: One, directed to the theatre program, an endowed gift that will provide growth and learning opportunities for students and faculty to collaborate with outside experienced theatre professionals both on and off campus, and another transformative endowed gift that was committed through a planned gift that will benefit the school in perpetuity.

Current Parent Giving By Class CuRRent pARent GivinG Lawrence Academy benefits greatly from the philanthropic support it receives from current parents, and this past fiscal year, LA’s parents provided remarkable support. Gifts were received at every Leadership Giving Circle level, and parent participation remained strong.

Through the gracious generosity of LA’s parents, the total dollars raised for the Annual Fund and Senior Parent Gift totaled $1,659,627. This impressive display of support broadcasts a strong message to all of LA’s constituents about how invested our current parents are in advancing the school. A special thanks goes to Peg and Ted Bernhardt for serving as Parent Fund Committee Co-Chairs and to the entire Parents Fund Committee.

Senior Parent Gift The Co-Chairs of the Class of 2016 SPG, Chris and Kirsta Davey and Phill and Liz Gross, provided the drive and determination toward achieving fundraising succes for the Senior Parent Gift campaign. Combining with the Class of 2015 SPG, the Class of 2016 SPG completed the visionary goal of providing

capital funding for a new campus entrance along with continued support for the Annual Fund. The Co-Chairs and SPG Committee worked with focus and dedication right up until graduation to complete the campaign.

2016 Parents’ Association Spring Social 2016 pARents’ AssoCiAtion spRinG soCiAL GROUNDED AND GROWING The 2016 Parents’ Association Spring Social was a fabulous evening and remarkable success. More than 200 guests attended the annual event and helped to raise over $40,000 in support of the Annual Fund. The event took place on the terrace of the McDonald Library and included a silent auction with some wonderful items to bid on.
