LAWRENCE HERE’S TO THEE

On an elm tree shaded hillside, in an old New England town, stands a school both old and famous, worthy of its great reknown. From the many who have loved it and upheld it gloriously echos down the years this watch-word “Lawrence, Lawrence, Here’s to Thee!” From Thy portals facing westward where the last faint sun beams glow, catch we on the mountain’s summit visions dreams that still will go with us where so ’ere life takes us and through all the years to be, this shall be our promise loyal “Lawrence, Lawrence, Here’s to Thee!” Words by Harriet A. Clark Music by George F. Hamer, Jr. (1923)
