hen my family has overindulged while on vacation, it’s customary for me to let out a big sigh, followed by, “Well, gang, we’ve gotta clean it up when we get home.” I don’t usually get any pushback since we’re all feeling the effects of our bingeing: waistbands are tighter, energy levels lower. There’s no question the week or two after a holiday eat-a-thon can be extra challenging because our bodies have come to expect the extra calories.
