INTRODUCTION - OVERVIEW Case Study Keifer Simpson is a Young enthusiastic Graphic Designer who is in love with photo manipulation and the entire process of communicating visual graphical posters with typography and Images. Mr Simpson was having struggle to develop a proper Identity for his previous name which he worked under Effects Design. He contact me and hire me to do a rebranding of his identity name Effects Designs. I suggest he used his own name as his brand name which he also think was a brilliant idea. The reason why is suggested to him to used his own name is because upon seeing his works they reflected quotes and images develop by him, by using his own name is would me easier to make a connection between him and his work.

Design Decision The merger of the KS Kiefer Simpson was a tedious one as i wanted it to have that arrow between the k and the S which points to the K which will point directly to Keifer for he’s the main person behind his work. Adding the serif to the K S was to give the logo a luxurious feeling bring out that classy professional luxurious feel which will let his logo stands out. While keeping the design simple and clean as stated in the Design Brief.

Blue indicates Clear Space. The blue area must be kept free of other elements. Grey padding indicates Safe Zone. Magenta indicates type and elements alignment and boundaries. The minimum required Clear Space is defined by the measurement ‘X’ (equal to the height of the uppercase letters, known as the ‘cap-height.’ The width is equal to the height.)
