Letter from Russ Johnson, LMH Health President & CEO

Dear partners,

We find ourselves at an important mile marker in our Destination Health journey — our plan that maps the hospital’s path to a healthy future as a Partner for Lifelong Health

LMH Health has accomplished much in the past several years, including expanding our physician collaborations and improving access to care with new clinic locations We have built and strengthened our community relationships with organizations like Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health and Heartland Community Health Center Additionally, we have invested in patient care with advanced robotic technology, updating our cancer center and preparing to add a second cath lab

By doing all of this, we have placed LMH Health in a stronger position for the long term Our pathway forward for the next three to five years is one that seeks to fully leverage these accomplishments — as well as your philanthropic investments — into the full benefits that they can yield for our community .

We seek to expand the breadth and depth of services offered locally, build our workforce culture and expand our providers’ clinical offerings We will adopt technologies and processes that embrace patient experience, autonomy and efficiency

And, as you’ll read in this report, LMH Health is building a strategic clinical partnership with the University of Kansas Health System to expand access to specialty care right here within our community, while maintaining our independence

Our focus remains steady on building our presence in the healthcare market, expanding our services, and preparing our organization for more a competitive and dynamic future With your support, we will continue to thrive for years to come
