This cute face belongs to Susie Bell. She is a bit scared in our community cat room with all the cats around. But she LOVES human attention and being held. If you sit down, she might climb on

your lap and sleep there. She is a very sweet cat. Susie Bell will probably be ok with another cat or two as long as they give her space. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations.

Hello once again, hope everyone enjoyed Bike week at the beach. This week I thought I would give you a run down about The 8th Annual Snake Pit Bike Rally. I am writing about the Snake Pit Rally cause; well, it is our rally. Here is a little history about this rally. Eight years ago, my brother Jeff told me about a little boy who needed some help. I didn’t know the child, but I soon met him. So, we went to do poker run entitled Brody’s Run. We rallied as many bikers as we could. While we were sitting things in motion we were ask if we could start the ride with breakfast and end it in Shady Valley in our backyard. So, we let folks camp, had a few fireworks, bike games and a friend to bring his guitar and play a few tunes. Pork and I didn’t have a stage for him play on. My brother went out and got door prizes, set up the ride. The following year things got bigger before long it was a rally. Spiderman jumping out

of an airplane, bigger fireworks, bigger bands, you get the picture. My brother, Pork and I helped this family every year until Brody didn’t need us anymore. So now Pork and I have built a very nice stage with a roof, a tiki bar, bought everything we need to do bike games etc.… Now this is known as The Snake Pit Bike Rally. It’s a 3-day event starting on Friday and ending on Sunday with a church service. Although Brody doesn’t need us we still give our proceeds back to a local charity. If you would like to attend here is the information you will need. It is June 10th to June 12th. You must be 21 to attend, $15 per person on Friday night, $20 per person on Saturday night or the weekend rate $30 per person. You can bring a RV, Bus or tent but must be selfcontained as this is our backyard with a few acres so there is room. Everyone welcome, you don't have to have a bike. Sponsors: Biker Wear - 19E Pit Stop – Loafer - Fireworks World Baker Contraction There are 3 rides on Saturday June 11th First Ride Meet Buddy Shaffer at Tulips 12 noon KSU 12:30 Roll to 19E Pit Stop Then to the Snake Pit Bike Rally. An aspect of Instagram's terms of service is that people are....different! Relationships can be strengthened by different perspectives. Having spent a great deal of my life in the service industry, a lot of the clientele I serviced were traveling for business. Spending my evenings grinding away behind a bar, ankle deep in spilled drinks and growing increasingly numb to the theatrics of under-socialized and over-served patrons, I would daydream about how glamorous the lives and jobs of these on-the-go folks must be; working in a different city every day, meeting new and exciting people along the way from all over the world and bedding down every evening to the turn-down service and freshly fluffed pillows of fancy hotels. It seemed like the perfect opposite to the monotony of my own hum-drum existence, slinging the same drinks to the same faces in the same town I’d woken up in every day of my life. But the old adage of “careful what you wish for” is ringing quite true in my ears these days, as I’ve finally achieved my goal of a career in motion and it’s not exactly the globe-trotting, fast paced existence of glitz and glamour that I’d imagined. In fact, the more I’m on the road, the more I seem to be falling off track.

Rebel Wilson stars in the new movie "Senior Year", and at times she seems almost unrecognizable. Why? The Australian actress, known for films such as "Bridesmaids" and "Pitch Perfect", decided she wanted to live a healthier lifestyle and lost nearly 80lbs. If you saw Rebel on a recent cover of People magazine you can really see the difference. In her current comedy Rebel stars as Australian immigrant Stephanie Conway, who after a disastrous birthday party in 1999, decides she wants to be one of the popular kids at school, and begins a self-made makeover. The makeover is successful as Stephanie (the teen version played by Angourie Rice) soon becomes the cheer squad captain while dating uber popular Blaine. Flash forward to her Senior year in 2002 where she hopes to become prom queen and eventually have a life like a former prom queen who now lives in a mansion. Stephanie lives with her widowed father and is still friends with two less popular students, Mathan and Seth. Despite dating Blaine, Seth (played by Zarie Adams

Pop Life

and Sam Richardson) has always had a secret crush on Stephanie. Even though she is one of the most popular students in school, she has a rival named Tiffany (played by Ana Yi Puig and Zoe Chao) who is challenging her for homecoming queen, and happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Blaine. Their rivalry leads Tiffany to plot against Stephanie during a pep rally, leaving the head cheerleader injured and in a coma. The film then moves forward to 2022 showing Stephanie in the hospital where she has been comatose for the last twenty years. Stephanie suddenly wakes up, and while her family and friends are thrilled, despite being older she still has the mind of a teen. Stephanie is shocked to learn what has happened with Blaine and Tiffany while she was in a coma, and despite her former love disappointing her, she decides to return to high school to finish her Senior year. On her first day back at school she discovers Seth is the school librarian and Martha is the school principal. Stephanie's return is met with laughs and shock as she returns to school in her old 1990's style. While in school she meets Tiffany's daughter Brit (Jade Bender), who is the most popular girl in school with a huge social media following. Many things have changed at the school since Stephanie originally attended, as the principal has created an overthe-top politically correct high school where the cheerleaders perform boring and sanitized routines with no dancing, and no prom king or queen. Stephanie soon gets many of the students on her side, including the cheer squad, in her efforts to bring a bit of life back to her

high school. Stephanie's plans are often met with disdain by Principle Martha, who eventually confronts Stephanie and reveals how while she was in a coma she and Seth were the only two other than family who visited her in the hospital. She is even shocked to discover her high Senior yearbook dedicated a page to her as if she had died. A prom is held, a king and queen are crowned, and Stephanie holds an after prom party which leads to trouble. Along her way to becoming popular, both in 2002 and 2022 Stephanie hurt her friends, and learns a valuable lesson

as to what is most important in life. The film features sassy humor, embarrassing moments, heartbreaks and joy during Stephanie's mental journey to adulthood. The film even features a great cameo from "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone! Led by Wilson, "Senior Year" is a fun and frothy film that has heart beneath the harsh reality of high school life and the often bumpy road to adulthood. Now playing on Netflix. (Rated R)

I’m going to a wedding this weekend in Asheville. Since it’s been a while since I was on a weekend trip that wasn’t workrelated, I decided to book a place and make a nice weekend of it. I’ve talked before in these here pages about my tendency to overpack for trips. I’ve mostly gotten it under control these days. I only packed two bags for a recent two-night trip to Nashville. Throw a wedding into this mix—as in all my travels I’ve never gone to a wedding with an overnight stay—and my streamlined packing plans are now in a moderate form of chaos.

I’m glad I’ve lost enough weight to not fit into my very nice summer linen jacket, but also sad as that would have been the perfect fit for this. I think I’ll go with a blue check jacket I wore to a wedding last year where I looked so dapper everyone on social media who follows me had a moment.

This means I’ll take the weekend bag (which for some reason isn’t big enough to truly If this was just a weekend hold everything I’d need for a getaway to Asheville I’d have weekend trip) and I’ll center the no problem getting my gear rest of my plans around my suit, together.
