After a ‘100 point turn in the road’ the coach carrying 50 scouts and various leaders from Letchworth and Baldock district Scouts finally reached its destination in the village of Lochearnhead.

Scouts thoughts of the day On the way to Lochearnhead, we passed loads of sheep fields, or were they the lesser spotted fields of haggis, we wasn’t really sure as every time we passed a field, Amber kept shouting “sheep” and I shouted “haggis” I liked the cabins and the activities we all did during the first day on the station. – Ruby D
An Ode by Balin: Cloud on the hills? This is the story of our first day We had fun in so many ways From long coach journeys and lots of sweets Here’s today and the lack of sleep We played badminton and circus skills This week is going to be fun and full of thrills From white water rafting, to climbing ben nevis All that is missing is a game of tennis

Patrol H views: On the way here we had 2 stops, we were all very tired and were all very excited about getting here. When we got here it was around 9 in the morning, I don’t think any of us got very much sleep all apart from Freya who slept the whole way.
Dinner Menu
When we got here we had breakfast at the water sports centre down the road, then settled in at the station and played games then had lunch. One of the things that could be better is being able to sleep in a better bed on the first night.

Cabins are a good size. Kit checks were useful, as the leaders told us exactly what to pack and what not to pack! Lunch was nice and enjoyed by all, but the vegetarians had to wait a bit longer for their servings. (Catering sends their apologies)
Dislikes 50 things in a match box was quite boring and could have been a bit shorter, it was also a little tiring as we have to go find things! Looking Forward to White Water Rafting (everyone’s favourite activity)! Sailing! Party on Friday!
