HigH ScHool
Centered on Jesus Christ, in the Roman Catholic tradition, our mission is to form students who are Intellectually Astute, Passionately Faithful & Socially Responsible.
Lancaster Catholic High School has invested in the minds and hearts of young people for ninety-five years. The impact of this investment has shaped every industry in Lancaster County and beyond – from business to medicine to the arts to infrastructure.
A Lancaster Catholic education is college-preparatory, laying the groundwork for post-secondary studies, while challenging students to grow in areas beyond academics as well. Standing on the shoulders of previous generations, Lancaster Catholic continues to work with students to discover their unique, God-given gifts, provide opportunities for those gifts to be refined, and empower students to then use their gifts in service to the larger community.
Something truly special happens at Lancaster Catholic High School! Every Crusader has a unique story to share – one that includes challenge and opportunity, faculty and staff members who went above and beyond, setbacks and comebacks, and above all, a pursuit of truth, goodness and excellence. Ask our students, parents, and alumni to share their stories and imagine what is possible for your child’s future.

Program
Our Collegiate Model allows students to carry core credits throughout the year using an A/B schedule that features four class periods per day. Through the use of 74-minute class periods, teachers are able to differentiate instruction, deepen conversations and increase literacy skills across the curriculum. A Crusader Period is partnered with lunch everyday, providing additional academic support or enrichment opportunities during the school day for students. As a 1:1 school, Chromebooks are issued to all students and Google Classroom is utilized through the entire curriculum.

Athletics at LCHS is an extension of what happens in the classroom. Our Crusaders embody family, discipline, hard work & faith.
With over 60% of our student body involved in our Athletic Program, we encourage students to try new sports, refine current skills, embody our mission & pursue excellence in all they do. Crusaders can choose from 24 sports teams to participate.
Athletics are only a small part of the Lancaster Catholic experience & never the sole reason for a student to join our family. Student-athletes who meet with the greatest achievement do so because they embrace the mission of the school.
Our Crusaders compete in the Lancaster-Lebanon League and have seen tremendous success. Over the last six years, Lancaster Catholic has won 31 Section, 17 League, 24 District and four PIAA State Championships.

future
Being a part of the Catholic High community is being a part of something larger than you.
In 1928 Lancaster Catholic High School made a commitment to Lancaster County believing that a Catholic education would significantly affect the lives of the young men and women that live here. That same commitment exists today. The Crusader family is a 95-year tradition of young people learning to become faith-filled leaders inside the historic halls at 650 Juliette Avenue.
There are over ten thousand people living throughout the world who have been educated at Lancaster Catholic High School. They represented a diverse group when they were students, and today, they are successful professionals, skilled craftsmen, businessmen and women, Sisters, Brothers, priests and parents. We are proud of the contributions they have made to the communities in which they live and of the lives that they lead.
Thanks to overwhelming community support and Crusaders pride the future of LCHS looks bright. A significant update and transformation of our historic hallways began last year with the STEM Innovation Center on the top floor of Reilly Hall. The next phase of renovations and additions for our Crusaders, a new auditorium, student-commons and collegiate-style cafeteria, begins this academic year.
1928: Construction began on LCHS “Old Main” building
1929: Cornerstone laid & blessed by Bishop McDevitt
1954: Reilly Hall addition expands Lancaster Catholic
1966: New addition is added that included chapel, library, cafeteria & Berger Gymnasium
1959: Reilly Hall adds third floor with more classrooms
2017: Lancaster Catholic Crusader Stadium is built
2021: STEM Innovation Center renovation is completed
2022: Auditorium, Student Commons & Cafeteria construction started
