A Message from Our President

Dear Friends,

Despite the continuing challenges imposed by the Pandemic, from completion of our new state-of-the-art STEM Innovation Center, to achievements in academics and the arts, to championship athletics and record-breaking fundraising events, the 2021-22 school year at Lancaster Catholic High School provided ample cause for celebration!

Each of the accomplishments chronicled here—and every facet of the education our students received in and outside the classroom—was made possible by over 3,500 gifts we received this year from thousands of LCHS alumni, current and past parents, business sponsors and friends whom we honor and thank in these pages.

The enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by our faculty, staff, students, parents, benefactors, volunteers and Board of Directors resulted in a superb educational experience for each of our students. Our graduates earned $13.2 Million in merit scholarships to the nation’s finest colleges and universities and contributed over 15,000 hours of volunteer service in places like Camden, N.J. and Peru. Most importantly, the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and our Catholic faith were at the forefront of everything our community experienced this year.

Since 1928, four generations of local parishioners and pastors, religious sisters and members of the clergy, and tens of thousands of benefactors have built the foundation of excellence on which our school stands today. Their support created a tradition that has transformed the trajectories of over 15,000 Lancaster Catholic alumni who have gone on to distinguish themselves in every field of endeavor. Giving is at the core of this tradition, and it connects Crusaders everywhere. In this annual report of the support our shared ministry of Catholic education received, we honor and thank all those whose generosity made the achievements of our students possible this year.

We hope that you will join us in a prayer of thanksgiving for the many staff members, volunteers and benefactors whose unstinting generosity with their time, talent and treasure made it all possible!

St. Catherine’s Society

The St. Catherine Society honors the individuals who, through their planned and estate gifts, have made a significant commitment to Lancaster Catholic High School. The Society expresses Catholic High’s abiding gratitude for those persons who endorse its heritage and traditions and who have provided philanthropic supports to ensure that generations to come will enjoy the benefits of a Lancaster Catholic High School education.

Established in 1999, the St. Catherine Society provides a way to recognize our special benefactors who have helped to secure the future of this institution by the thoughtful, meaningful inclusion of Catholic High in their financial planning. The Society allows Lancaster Catholic to convey our heartfelt and everlasting gratitude to planned and deferred donors before the gift is actually realized. We are not only grateful to them for their vision in providing for the future needs of Lancaster Catholic High School, but also for their leadership.
