Live from the Eastern State Penitentiary Students in Lancaster Catholic’s Criminal Justice classes took a virtual field trip to the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. In this Zoom field trip, Crusaders had the chance to learn and ask questions about the history of the Eastern State Penitentiary, and learned how the treatment of prisioners has changed throughout the years. Topics of race, forced labor, human rights and solitary confinement were discussed. For more information about the Eastern State Penitentiary, click here.

FPA Award - SupportMusic Merit Award The Lancaster Catholic High School Music Department has been recognized through the Best Communities for Music Education with the 2021 SupportMusic Merit Award. This designation is from The NAMM Foundation and is awarded to individual private schools that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. It highlights that LCHS is a leader in providing funding, music class participation opportunities, graduation requirements in the Arts, instructional time and overall support for the music program. This prestigious accolade from the global organization (NAMM) recognizes the support we receive from our administrators, board members, music educators, parents, and our entire LCHS community. Lancaster Catholic is one of just 80 private schools in the country to receive this distinction. The Fine & Preforming Arts Department was recently recognized by the Middle States Association with the Music Program of Distinction Award. The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit organization supported in part by The National Association of Music Merchants.
Important Announcement for Senior Finals Attention Seniors and Senior Parents: Senior finals are being held Friday, May 21st-Tuesday, May 25th. Please be advised that all senior finals will be given IN-PERSON. There will be no remote testing for senior finals. Just as the seniors will be expected to be in person for all baccalaureate and graduation activities, they must also be physically present for final exams. All exams will take place in the LCHS cafeteria, and utilize COVID protocols which have been in place all year. All graduation activities will also adhere to LCHS COVID protocols which include wearing of masks and social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation.
Spring Signing Day Lancaster Catholic Athletics has scheduled Spring Signing for May 5th at 11:00 in Berger Gym. If you would like to participate, please sign up in Athletics.

Remote Learning Instructions If your student is learning remotely, please remind your student to follow the Synchronous Learning Guidelines for LCHS Students Learning Remotely. These guidelines state: Must be logged into your Google classrooms at the start of each class and remain in the class the entire period: Regular Schedule • Period 1 8:00 – 9:14 • Homeroom 9:20 – 9:33 • Period 2 9:39 – 10:53 • Lunch 10:59 – 12:17 (Free time to eat lunch, receive tutoring) • Period 3 12:23 – 1:37 • Period 4 1:43 – 2:57 The bell schedule can be found on the student tab on LCHS website or here. Please refer to your handbook for special schedule times. • Must be physically present on video (and audio when applicable); not a picture/ bitmoji, etc.) • Must be visible on video (enough light on face). • Must be in appropriate attire, according to the LCHS casual dress guidelines found in the student handbook which can be found on the student tab the LCHS website or by clicking here. • Must be sitting at a table or desk (if possible) with the materials needed for each class. Environment should be quiet and well lit. • Must actively and respectfully participate in each class. • Must follow each teacher’s syllabus guidelines.
Entrepreneurship Business Symposium The Lancaster Catholic Entrepreneurship Class presented “How COVID Has Affected Local Business”, virtually on April 27th, 2021. Enrollment Agreements Agreements detailing the tuition and financial aid you received have been created in the SchoolAdmin Portal. Please click on the link sent to you via email, sign the agreement and pay the registration fee using a debit or credit card all in one place. It’s that easy! We are finding that our emails going to parents with a comcast email are going into a spam folder. Please check your spam folder for information on the 21-22 Enrollment Agreements. Parent Referral Program Do you know of any families that would like to join the LCHS community? Our Parent Referral Program is meant to thank families who have added new members to the Crusader family. All AP exams, with the exception of our students in other countries, will be in-person following all COVID protocols. Students have been emailed their upcoming schedules and room assignments. Exam days can be very stressful so we are asking that parents encourage their student to pack a lunch, make sure they have pencils and a blue or black ink pen ready to go, and have their calculator ready with fresh batteries for math or science exams. If students are taking digital exams, chromebooks must be fully charged and students have been given instructions for 3 days prior to the exam and a half hour before the exam to check-in. No students will be admitted to exams late.
Senior Surveys Surveys have been pushed out electronically to all seniors. this survey is essential to gathering information on post high school planning, where to send final transcripts, as well as scholarship offers from the many colleges and private organizations that support the future endeavors of our students. Please make sure your student completes this. Drawings for college swag will take place in the cafeteria for any senior who has completed their survey!

Accelerated Credit – Lancaster Catholic High School • Outside courses must be completed by September 1, 2021 • Please keep in mind that these are one-credit classes that are designed to take several months to complete. Taking a course in the summer will require a lot of work to complete before the due date.
