Lancaster Catholic’s
Crusader Connection Caring Crusaders Weekend Thank you so much for participating in Lancaster Catholic’s Caring Crusader Weekend! Thanks to your generosity, we raised $254,731 and counting for the Lancaster Catholic mission and to help our families affected by the coronavirus.
A Caring Crusader Sophomore Ansley Ryan had the idea to make masks for her neighbors and town when the governor required masks be worn in public since there was great need. Ansley experimented with different patterns and decided upon a design that had a pouch for an extra filter that can be added. Once some masks were made, she set up a stand at the end of her driveway with a basket and the response has been remarkable! In 3 days, she has made over 200 masks and has a steady stream of cars pulling in to partake of her generosity!
Appropriateness During Meetings Direction Regarding Appropriateness During On-Line Academic Meetings: Students and Parents, as we continue in this new way of teaching and learning, we must address on-line meetings and what is appropriate. For any google-meetings or the like, where students and teachers are on camera, the following must be observed: Students must be appropriately attired and surroundings are to be decent on camera. Sit up straight, no lounging or lying down, as it is a class meeting. In addition, per school policy, all meetings will be recorded. We appreciate everyone's continued support as we navigate this uncertain time in education and our world. Thank you. LCHS Administration

¨
My device is plugged in.

¨
I have reviewed the exam security guidelines and understand the consequences for incorporating work that is not my own or collaborating with anyone during the exam.
Attendance Update Due to the COVID 19 virus, ALL absences (if your child/student will miss the ENTIRE instructional day) should be reported to Mrs Fritz at kfritz@lchsyes.org. This is NOT the protocol for a normal school day, however, with virtual learning/ online classes it will provide us with a better means of keeping track of attendance.
Juniors Are you using all the tools on Naviance yet? There are so many things to explore! One of the most important tasks to complete in the next few weeks is your resume. Once your resume is finished, you will want to ask your teachers (please visit them during office hours online) for letters of recommendation for college.
SAT Update College Board has cancelled all SATs that would have been administered in May and June. Although they are planning to offer SATs beginning in August, please do not try to register for an exam at this time. Lancaster Catholic High School is committed to serving our student population in any way we can and we have volunteered to open a testing center at the High School in August and/or September. Many colleges and universities have now decided to change their admissions processes to “test optional please check the websites of the colleges that interest you to ascertain their admissions policies.
College Financial Aid Information With the employment layoffs and the challenges that COVID-19 has caused, many students are rethinking their college acceptances. Information regarding FAFSA completion assistance for high school seniors and parents regarding college financial aid are in this publication. Do not hesitate to contact your college admissions representatives to discuss your financial aid and/ or possibly deferring admission in these uncertain times. Your School Counselors are also available to help talk this through with you.
Referral Credit Know a friend or neighbor who might be interested in learning more about Lancaster Catholic for their child? Now’s the time to refer them! Families who “refer a friend” that enrolls at Lancaster Catholic for the 2020-21 school year will receive a $1,000 credit towards tuition for next year! Tell your friends to email Kyla and drop your name as their referral!
Last Day of School Lancaster Catholic High School will end the school year for all students on Friday, May 22. The last instructional day will be Thursday, May 21. There will be no final exams for any courses this year, eliminating the need for exam/testing days. As soon as the County stay at home order is lifted, we will establish and communicate a schedule for returning school materials and gathering personal items.
