The use of cell phones, Smart and Fitbit watches is not permitted during the exam period. Talking is prohibited, until all exams are collected. Once an exam is completed, students may silently study/read. Students may not use electronics until the bell rings to signal the end of the exam period. Students will not be dismissed early from an exam period. There will be no extended time provided on final exams unless a student was previously pre-approved by the Instructional Support team. Those students who are pre-approved for extended time will be dismissed to the Library for exam completion, as needed. Students with a first and third period exam time, but no second period exam, must report to the cafeteria for study hall during the 2nd exam period. Wandering in the halls is not permitted. Campus Ministry Internship Program for 2021-22 We are very excited to announce the new Campus Ministry Student Internship program. This Certificate Program will give one or two LCHS seniors an unique and exciting leadership opportunity working regularly with the Campus Ministry staff. Candidates, ideally, will be students who have an interest in working in Catholic or Christian ministry. Any student who has a sincere interest in helping their fellow students grow in their faith may qualify. Students who are thinking about teaching, youth ministry, high school or college campus ministry or who are discerning weather they may be called to religious life would benefit greatly from this new opportunity. Students will need to have at least one study hall period in their schedule for each semester or be in the Christian Service Class. They will assist with retreat preparation, assist the director on a retreat, help plan and run prayer services and more. Art Bamert Jr, Director of Campus Ministry noted, “I am so excited to be able to offer students a chance to experience helping others discover the joy of the Gospel. Every day our school and myself, personally, are blessed with the wonderful work of Noelle Cybulski ’14, our Associate Director of Campus Ministry, who as a student was a wonderful assist to our program when she was a high school student. I can only imagine the fantastic possibilities of intentionally helping to develop a student and guiding them towards the important work of ministry to young people.” To be accepted to the program, candidates will need to fill out an application and go through the interview process. For all the criteria and expectations, please check out the Campus Ministry pages at www.lchsyes.org.

To Test or Not to Test Rising seniors (Class of 2022) are probably wondering if taking the SAT this summer and fall is worth it. Check with your colleges. While many are going test optional again for 2021-22, you may need an SAT score for scholarship purposes. Ask questions when you are visiting colleges and universities this summer. While LCHS will not be administering the SAT, there are many local schools that will. Please check the www.collegeboard.org website for more information regarding SATs.
