School Counseling Corner: Timely Tips from your School Counselors Midterm Exams this week! As cold and flu season has affected many of our students, exam week is the worst time for absences. Any student who was absent for midterm exams will have an opportunity to make up exams on Friday, January 18, 2019 in the Library. If your child missed more than 2 exams, please have them follow up with their teachers about making up the midterms. College Scholarships - information and applications on any scholarships that the School Counseling Office has received has been uploaded to Naviance. Most scholarship applications have been uploaded and paper applications are available in the School Counseling Office. AP registration and payments have begun as of January 15, 2019 with a new on-line format. If you have any questions regarding AP exams, please contact Mr. Dietz. Junior Meetings - students who are juniors can expect to have their meetings scheduled with their counselors right after midterm exams. We are eager to explain what the next steps are with post high school planning and introducing students to Naviance capabilities and tools. Right now, juniors should be looking to register for their first standardized college entrance exam (SAT:collegeboard.org or ACT:actstudent.org).
