Lancaster Catholic took home the top 3 places in the Senior Division (Grades 10 – 12) in the Monday, May 13th: Marching Band & Color Guard Catholic Schools Art Contest! The art is being displayed in the Archives Case at the Diocesan Info Night Center. Thursday, May 16th: Senior Final Exams Friday, May 17th: Senior Final Exams Saturday, May 18th: FPA Broadway Trip to NYC Monday, May 20th: Senior Final Exams
The students are: 1st Place - Logan Paulukow (“Devotion to Mary”), 2nd Place – Anthony Andrews (“Father Gerard”) and 3rd Place – Kathryn Keane (“La Corona de Rosas”). Also, Gabrielle Kambouroglos (“God’s Many Languages”) and Annie Morris (“Shield of Faith”) both won Honorable Mention.

Over 15 boxes of home goods and food items were donated to help the homeless veterans in Lancaster County staying at Veterans’ Victory House. Resurrection proclaims Miss Weaver Day Resurrection Catholic School proclaims May 31 Miss Weaver Day in recognition of Brenda Weaver who is retiring after 45 years in Catholic education. All are invited 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. , when the school hosts friends, former students, teachers and colleagues who want to wish Weaver well, though anyone is also welcome to stop in any time during the day. An official recognition ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. Later that day from 5-7 p.m. , the end-of- school picnic at Long’s Park, Pavilion #2, continues the celebration, and all are also welcome there. Acquaintances who plan to attend the mid-morning recognition should contact dwalker@rcspa.org or 717-392-3083, especially if they would like to comment or make a presentation. Weaver, a Lancaster native, attended St. Anne School, Lancaster Catholic High School, Millersville University and York College of Pennsylvania. She taught 29 years at Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Ephrata, and has spent the past 14 years at Resurrection, 12 of them as principal.
