DOCUMENT CENTER THE NEW ELECTRONIC LEYBOLD LIBRARY ensures the structured display and maintenance of all technical documents, such as Advanced Science Kits and Science Kit literature, instructions for demonstration tests or the operating manual, in a consolidated format. offers a convenient keyword and catalog number search to quickly locate the desired information. several versions of a document, including maintenance. current documents available at all times via free online updates, can also be automatic. The Document Center gives you digital access to all technical documents we have available in the form of comprehensive literature packages. After a one-time installation, the documents can then automatically be kept up to date, if so desired. The literature packages are clearly shown in a table of contents that leads you directly to the target document. The more literature packages you install, the more entries the table of contents includes. Furthermore, the convenient search function helps you locate the desired information. Besides the documents, literature packages can also contain application data. So for example loading settings and examples in CASSY Lab from an experiment description contained in a literature package can be done with a single click of the mouse.
If the student and teacher versions of a literature package are installed, then switching between versions can be done with a single click of the mouse. Student documents can be completed in the Document Center and saved as a record or printed.

Ideal for the student‘s hand: great stability and functionality Fitting interface solutions for computer-assisted measurements (see also page 22) Experimental instructions have enough space for the students‘ answers. The modular setup allows for different possibilities to further studies and accounts for varying working speeds
Solid and variable mechanical assemblies with special stands and sockets. The basic structure is also used in many experiments for the study of vibrations and waves and of heat, so that students can set up the experiments without wasting time. Pictured experiment: Pulley block
Clear optics assemblies using a solid metal rail as an optical bench. The optical elements are easily held with easy-to-move sliders, and the distance between them can be precisely read on the optical bench‘s scale. Wave optic experiments can also be conducted with the same items. Pictured experiment: Slide projector
For many experiments within all areas, instead of using the traditional measuring instruments, a computer can measure values with PocketCASSY. Students can easily record and evaluate measured values with the CASSY Lab 2 software‘s user-friendly interface. Pictured experiment: Track, accelerated motion between holding magnet and light barrier
Clearly laid out electric and electronic assemblies with a plug-in board. Completely safe contacting with 4-mm plugs for items and the plug-in board‘s connectors. The board‘s front side was designed for many simple circuits; the back side enables complex electronic wiring. Pictured experiment: Astable multivibrator

Solid and variable stand-up assemblies with special stands and sockets enable clear experiment layouts. The basic structure is used in many experiments for inorganic, organic, physical, analytical, technical, detergent and food chemistry, so that the students can set up complex experiments without wasting time. Mobile-CASSY, the universal hand-held measuring instrument, replaces traditional measuring equipment. Along with sensors from the CASSY family, Mobile-CASSY can perform varied instruments. Pictured experiment: Titration and pH measurement with Mobile-CASSY
With basic detections, students learn to manipulate stand-mounted equipment and burners and to follow safety precautions during experiments (protective clothing, safety goggles). Pictured experiment: Detection of carbon
In the field of food chemistry, students get insight into the production and analysis of our nutrition‘s building blocks. Several experiments let students simulate the industrial production of foodstuffs. Pictured experiment: Creation of margarine

Ideal for the student‘s hand: great stability and functionality Experimental instructions have enough space for the students‘ answers. The modular setup allows for different possibilities to further studies and accounts for different working speeds
Microscopes are essential for biology lessons and to conduct student experiments. In our program, you will find a multitude of tough, easy-to-use microscopes specially made for students. Pictured experiment: Microscopic viewing of preparations
Simple, solid and clear stand-mounted assemblies with special stands materials. Spring clips hold plastic receptacles on two base rails. Students can easily attach and remove these. Pictured experiment: Water-holding capacity of soil samples
Many experiments in the area of vision within sensory physiology use specialpurpose goggles and a series of different color filters, along with colored images. Pictured experiment: Total color blindness
The fields of botany and ecology use the same stand-mounted equipment, allowing for a quick setup. Plastic tubes are easy to mount, using spring clips. Assemblies are clearly laid out, so that students can focus on the substance. Pictured experiment: Water supply for plants
20 I 21 ADVANCED SCIENCE KITS
ADVANCED SCIENCE KITS SYSTEM EXTENSIONS Technical innovations will soon be incorporated into the curricula of the final years of secondary school. We are therefore consistently expanding our successful Advanced Science Kits system to adapt to these special demands.
WORKSTATION FUEL CELLS The fuel cell workstation is ideal for student experiments throughout secondary schooling, featuring ease of use of circuitry for the experiments.
Experiment examples:
Investigation of the mode of operation of solar cells, electrolyzers and fuel cells Solar power‘s dependence on illuminance and angle of installation Characteristic curves and effectiveness of electrolyzers and fuel cells
WORKSTATION ELECTROCHEMISTRY The electrochemistry workstation comprises a work surface that can also be used as storage. Inside are 2 cell blocks made from resistant plastic that can easily be screwed into place. This also allows for easy cleaning. Filter paper is inserted as a diaphragm between the cell blocks. Four galvanic elements can be set up simultaneously. It enables experiments to be made in the following subject areas:
Electrochemical potentials pH value and redox potentials Applied electrochemistry
EXPERIMENT SET MAGNETISM – ELECTRICITY – ELECTRONICS The devices‘ configuration and the proper experimental instructions are ideally tailored to the demands of the standardized high school diploma. The experiment set covers more than 40 testing proposals, including in the areas of induction, magnetic fields, characteristic curves and resonant circuits.
EXPERIMENT SET ENERGY Current physical fundamentals like energy conversion and storage can be treated with graphically qualitative and quantitative experiments. The experiment set is ideal for experiments with wind and radiation energy. Conversion processes connected one after the other („chains“) can help clarify the subject of energy „loss“ in connection with notion of efficiency.
