LEAF Retreat was launched in October 2020 as a small restorative (socially distanced) gathering. The LEAF Retreat took us back to our roots and we will continue that tradition each May moving forward. This will be a smaller event than the LEAF Festival but will still create a sense of community and cultural curiosity across multiple generations. "Retreat was MAGIC & restored my soul".

Size tbd according to the world. If smaller is better then we will adjust. LEAF is safety first & flexible! We plan to wait until 2022 to celebrate the 50th Festival, so this may be 49.5. Regardless, we are GRATEFUL to create!
LEAF Festival is our award-winning founding event that has taken place biannually in May and October and will continue to take place annually in October. Over the past 25 years this multi-day, music and arts festival brings local and global acts to the beautiful Lake Eden for adults and children of all ages to enjoy. Drawing an audience of over 12,000 over the weekend from across the Southeast, this Festival has become a family & friend tradition and household name for many across the world!

LEAF Downtown is a FREE two-day event held in the heart of Asheville at Pack Square Park. LEAF takes its mission and brings it to life for everyone to enjoy. In 2019, attendance was over 35,000 and continues to grow each year. Completely open to the public, it draws locals of all demographics and tourists of all backgrounds to enjoy the best our city has to offer all while playing, singing, dancing, and celebrating together! LEAF partnered with City of AVL as a Strategic Partner in 2015 to create this community event.
LEAF Global Arts Center | All Year Round!
LEAF Global Arts experience invites you to explore the world through immersive music & art experiences & cultural connections, fostering global citizenship, and opening pathways of understanding. This engaging experience is being designed for “Cultivating Cultural Curiosity” while honoring the rich history of the historic block. Locals and visitors can enjoy educational experiences, classes, and workshops rooted in music, art, community, and culture.

VIRTUAL IS ON! All of our LEAF Signature Events will have a Virtual Component to create world wide connection and opportunities for our LEAF International Culture Keepers and youth, and to expand our global community. In 2020, LEAF had 25,142 unique viewers for virtual audiences at VLEAF & Reimagine and that doesn't even include all those who tuned into LEAF's YouTube & Facebook Live events throughout the year.

LEAF MEMBERS Membership has been the key to LEAF keeping our essential mission-driven programs thriving, and the way we enrich our connection. Membership enabled us to say to our Culture Keepers and Teaching Artists “YOU are supported. Your culture, youth and you are important. LEAF is here for YOU!" in 2020 and Kept LEAF Alive. In honor of that support, in 2021, we will have monthly gatherings beginning March & we invite sponsors to be part of those gatherings.
CULTURAL ARTS EDUCATION & PRESERVATION YOUR SPONSORSHIP HAS MEANING & IMPACT
LEAF SCHOOLS & STREETS is made up of cultural arts programs that use the arts to bridge cultures and create life-affirming, community building experiences - empowering LOCAL youth to become global citizens, young artistic leaders & agents of positive change. Since 2004, over 80,000 LOCAL YOUTH have participated in LEAF Schools & Streets! We are proud to be a Kennedy Center Arts Education Partner with Buncomnbe County Schools.
LEAF INTERNATIONAL is dedicated to cultural preservation, the fostering of global citizenship, & cultural exchange. LEAF collaborates with communities to support Culture Keepers who teach local youth their traditional arts. Since 2006, 3,250 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH have been a regular student or mentee in LEAF International Programs in 10 countries which includes 3 First Nations in Cosata Rica.
