MY WELLBEING JOURNAL year 1 LEARNING MORE ABOUT ME Dear parents and teachers, children will need your support by you explaining and offering direction for the evidence based activities in this journal. FRIENDSHIPS WEEKS These occur throughout the journal every 12 weeks. Encourage the children to draw or describe how they could use one of the four strengths, gratitude, teamwork, kindness and leadership to build friendships with classmates and other students. Make a Strengths Wall in the classroom for children to draw or describe things that they or classmates did to show the strength. Also, at home, encourage families to make a Strengths Wall on the fridge, to participate as well.

WHAT I DO WELL: MY STRENGTHS This Lesson: Wellbeing Learning Intention is for children to practise using the language of strengths by doing the word search. As a class look for three words together and share the strategy of looking for the most uncommon letter in a word first, then look at letters around it to find the word.
