A DAY WITH DAD One day when I was six, my Dad brought me to his work. It was so amazing! My Dad works at Creare. Creare is an engineering company that does things in outer space. I had seen my Dad write on graph paper before, but when I went to work with him I got to draw on it. I thought my art work was a little more interesting than what he usually draws. My Mom had packed us both delicious lunches that day, so we ate lunch early. Later my Dad let me draw on the white board in his office. I drew a person with a big head but a small body. Then I drew our whole family with big heads and small bodies. My Dad said he kept it up for a week but I don’t think he really did. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for a half day at my Dad’s work, so my Mom picked me up before I could learn what is beyond outer space! Written by: Sydney, Grade 4

MY MOM My mom Charlotte is the best mom ever in the world. She loves me, my brother Tristan, my sister Chardonnay and my dad so much. She is so nice to us. I love her so much she colors, draws plays board games. She cooks the best food ever. I like cuddling with her watching movies or reading together. My funniest memory with my mom is we drew mustaches on each other with markers and took pictures. We always take photos and make silly faces. My mom is so funny. I love her so much she is the best.
