Minh Le is currently Principal Instructional Designer, working at Digital Futures Institute (DFI) of Teachers College, Columbia University where he is leading various initiatives to materialize the institute’s mission

His career encompasses diverse experiences working in highly regarded institutions across three sectors including non-profit, government, and higher education in both Vietnam and the United States. Before coming to the U.S. to pursue the Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media at Teachers College, he worked for the U.S. Consulate General and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City to coordinate various high profile business and diplomatic programs including the visits of Former President Obama, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg. These programs not only expanded and strengthened strategic relationships between the U.S and Vietnam in terms of commerce and education but also advanced educational, cultural, and entrepreneurial opportunities for Vietnamese youths. During the course of four years, he was granted more than 10 honored awards by the U.S. State Department for his exceptional performance and dedication. Presently his work at Teachers College focuses on streamlining digital infrastructure and developing robust operational systems to support digital transformation of teaching and learning. The transformation aims to further the institution’s tradition of teaching excellence, cultivate a culture of innovation and creativity, and ultimately position the college as a leader in learning innovation in the 21st century. As part of his work, he is overseeing the hiring and training program for Instructional Support Associates whose job is to provide technological and pedagogical support for faculty to raise the baseline of technology integration into course design and pedagogy. In addition, he is initiating a myriad of professional development programs including live and on-demand workshops, individual consultations, office hours, and panel discussions to build capacities for faculty in teaching with technology. Lastly, he liaisons with other internal stakeholders across the college such as the departments of Information Technology, Registrar, and Student Affairs to ensure the review, pilot, and implementation of new educational technology is successful. As part of his professional and personal interest, he has been constantly seeking new possibilities of and experimenting with technology and media to create highly interactive and engaging learning content and experience. He especially enjoys being a thought partner to help faculty brainstorm novel pedagogy and consulting faculty on how to utilize cutting-edge educational technology and multimedia effectively and purposefully to reimagine learning in the digital world.
