If you are interested in developing the specific technical and professional skills that will lead to meaningful employment in the electrotechnical industry, this qualification is for you. You will explore a wide range of industry areas, including principles of electrical science, inspection and testing, and electrical system diagnosis.

Study length: 1 year, full time.

Entry requirements:

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English, grade 5 in Maths and successful completion of the Electrical Installations Diploma Level 2 programme.

What’s next?

Progression may include further study to achieve fully qualified electrician status, as an electrical installer or maintenance electrician; an apprenticeship; or a higher education qualification.
