Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Foundation Degree

The programme is broad-based and industrially-relevant, covering many aspects of biological and chemical sciences. It is taught almost entirely in laboratories and features a large amount of hands-on practical science experience.

Students will learn about scientific concepts related to the human body, diseases and drugs and explore these ideas further through practical laboratory investigations. The practical work will build confidence in working in a laboratory environment and allow students to develop skills in using a wide range of equipment and scientific instruments, performing standard operations that are common in current industries in the chemical science or bioscience sectors.
