Spring Term 2 Give it a Go (GIAG) is a great way to try out a new activity at Leeds University Union. This booklet is filled with sessions hosted by clubs and societies to help you get a taste of what they do. There are no strings attached and you don’t need to be a member of the group to attend. It’s a great way to decide if you want to join. We have also dropped in a couple of one off trips, arts and crafts workshops and relaxation sessions to fill your free time. Leeds University Union have been awarded Gold accreditation by NUS for our 2012 activity and the University will be a base for athletes in the build-up to the Games. The series will feature ex-athletes, Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls, London 2012 employees and influential people in the world of sport and the Olympics. Monday 12th March Psychedelics: A Drug Awareness Workshop Want to know more about psychedelic drugs, their effects and the risks involved? Yes? Then this session is for you! This short workshop is geared towards describing the effects of some psychedelic substances and how to reduce harm related to their use, with time for questions/answers and discussion afterwards. *Please note: This workshop covers issues of an illegal and conceivably upsetting nature thus should not be attended by those with an aversion to discussion of such topics.
