Good luck to all of the players and coaches who are returning to their local clubs in the first step towards getting back into playing. We hope your preparations are going well and we look forward to catching up with you all soon!
At Tigers, we have an exciting week in prospect with the first Tigers Rugby Camp for more than a year ready to roll at Brooksby Melton College on TuesdayFriday, April 6-9.
In step with the latest guidelines from the government and RFU, Tigers are hosting a series of two-hour coaching sessions over four days of the school holiday to get mini and junior players back on the grass, active and reintroduced to the game in a safe and progressive manner.
Based at the outstanding rugby-specific facilities of Brooksby Melton College, home of the Tigers’ ACE and Development rugby programmes, the sessions are for boys and girls across the age groups:
Mornings
Under-9 to Under-12
Afternoons
Under-13-16 boys
Afternoons
Under 13, Under-15 & Under-18 girls
Book for all four days or single days. Players who attend for up to three days also receive a Tigers Rugby Camp T-shirt, with four-day bookings receiving a Tigers Rugby Ball as an additional bonus.
Places are available to book on the club website now or telephone the Tigers ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or email tickets@tigers.co.uk
Brooksby is on the Leicester to Melton Mowbray road (A607), just a five-minute drive from the A46 ring road on the outskirts of the city.
Safety and enjoyment are our primary concerns and we will be taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure that Tigers can deliver a positive reintroduction to rugby, while also minimising any risks associated with Covid.
We are also looking at a Tigers Rugby Camps programme for the summer period and look forward to confirming these soon.
