ALMOST AT REACH OF THE END
THE GRADUATE YEAR OF A STUDENT FOCUSING ON SELF BUILDING, SUSTAINABILITY AND ETHNICITY This is the graduate year of university for Leigh Naylor, whose aims and aspects of becoming a young independent designer is now becoming realistic. Leigh is pursuing her dream of being an interior designer, focusing on her final year, with the ambitions of being hired as an interior designer. She is doing her final year of study in The University of Salford with hope of getting a designing job and experience by the end of her university year. Leigh has planned a travelling trip around Australia with motivations to hopefully gain work experience whist over in Australia. The motives of going to Australia are to gain experience and knowledge from the design process in a different culture. Allowing Leigh’s creativeness to explode with different techniques and influences. Throughout the graduate year the projects that Leigh is undertaking are all aimed at Designers within different areas of the design world. The projects and users that the projects will reach out will all be inspired and influenced by the new approach Leigh is applying to her final projects. Leigh has an understanding of different and new approaches in which she will try her best to participate in the work. The experience and confidence that Leigh will knowledge throughout the year will gain enormously, leading her to a strong, independent designer. The projects that Leigh will undergo will prove to her that no project is too big or too small to undertake. If Leigh is in the right atmosphere and pressure she will gain what she has set out to achieve. The projects that Leigh has already under took have all been to a success with the deadlines met, Leigh will continue this way throughout her last year. Each project will be presented with the potential of becoming live projects in the design. The progression of Leigh’s final year will be applied and displayed, with creative and critical feedback that will be on going.
