THIS IS THE MAN WHO MAKES SHOES FOR THE BIGGEST FEET IN THE WORLD By Sammy Lloyd Everyone has heard of the Guinness World Records titles like the largest feet on a living person or the tallest man living. But have you ever thought 'where do they find shoes big enough to fit their record-breaking feet'?
German shoe manufacturer, Wessels, established in 1745 has specialised in making customised shoes for the world’s tallest people for 40 years. Although Wessels was established almost 275 years ago, the shoe manufacturer is still family run. Recently we caught up with current owner Georg Wessels to learn more about his passion for helping those with the biggest feet in the world. Why did you begin custom making large shoes? My father already made shoes in large sizes and we are now specialised for 40 years in this matter. Ever since then, we make shoes for the tallest people in the world. It was our task to supply the people in need. We discovered that the people who are affected by acromegaly, really need good fitting shoes. That is one of their biggest problems and we try to help them. What’s the best thing about your job? It is a pleasure for us to help them and it is also very nice to know that we have a lot of friends all over the world. What was it like meeting Jeison Orlando Rodríguez Hernández, record holder for largest feet on a living person (male) and the tallest man in the world, Sultan Kosen? I met Jeison Rodriguez in 2013 when he was only 16 years old. For me it is very normal to meet any giant and help them and I'm always very happy to meet new friends. They become like family and they call me their family as well. I can say this for Jeison, Sultan Kösen, their families and many more.
Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A 'you can do it' when things are tough. Richard M. DeVos 2
“Jy maak seker ‘n grap? Jy is geen saadjie nie. Jy is ‘n boom. ‘n Reus van ‘n boom!” “Regtig?” “Ja,! Wow!

Lela Nargi We never knew we wanted it before it existed. Now we can’t fathom life without it—although here, we wonder, “What if…” Potential employers would have a harder time finding us: Like it or not, social media has become a way for headhunters and HR departments to find potential employees. In fact, according to a 2017 study conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a whopping 84 percent of companies use social media for this purpose—and that number is growing. It also revealed that organizations find it particularly useful for recruiting passive job candidates. On an individual level, we’ve also become accustomed to having our résumés out there at all times for anyone to see. For example, LinkedIn had more than 500 million users by the end of 2017, reports Fortune, and that number is even higher today. .

Meghan Jones English grammar rules can certainly be confusing. You probably use them nearly every day without even thinking about it, but when’s the last time you were actually tested on them? See how your grammar know-how stacks up with these high school–level questions. Which of the following changes makes this sentence correct? “The kids who meet up at the playground to play on the swings, climb on the jungle gym, and try the monkey bars.” A. B. C. D.
The kids who meet up at the playground, play on the swings, climb on the jungle gym, and try the monkey bars. The kids meet up at the playground to play on the swings, climb on the jungle gym, and try the monkey bars. The kids meeting up at the playground to play on the swings, climb on the jungle gym, and try the monkey bars. The kids meet up at the playground to play on the swings, climb on the jungle gym, and try the monkey bars.
The issue with the first sentence is that the word “who” creates a clause with a subject but no corresponding verb so that the sentence is actually a sentence fragment. Removing “who” changes it so that “the kids” is the subject and “meet” is the verb.

Coca-Cola, or Coke, is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by The CocaCola Company. Originally intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Stith Pemberton and was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century. The drink's name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves, and kola nuts (a source of caffeine). The current formula of Coca-Cola remains a trade secret, although a variety of reported recipes and experimental recreations have been published. The Coca-Cola Company produces concentrate, which is then sold to licensed Coca-Cola bottlers throughout the world. The bottlers, who hold exclusive territory contracts with the company, produce the finished product in cans and bottles from the concentrate, in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. A typical 12 -US-fluid-ounce (350 ml) can contains 38 grams (1.3 oz) of sugar (usually in the form of high fructose corn syrup). The bottlers then sell, distribute, and merchandise Coca-Cola to retail stores, restaurants, and vending machines throughout the world. The Coca-Cola Company also sells concentrate for soda fountains of major restaurants and foodservice distributors. The Coca-Cola Company has on occasion introduced other cola drinks under the Coke name. The most common of these is Diet Coke, along with others including Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, Diet Coke Caffeine-Free, CocaCola Zero Sugar, Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Vanilla, and special versions with lemon, lime, and coffee. Based on Interbrand's "best global brand" study of 2015, Coca-Cola was the world's third most valuable brand, after Apple and Google. In 2013, Coke products were sold in over 200 countries worldwide, with consumers drinking more than 1.8 billion company beverage servings each day. Coca-Cola ranked No. 87 in the 2018 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. 12
Damon Beres From functional to fun: The all-powerful search engine is packed with more cool Google tricks than you realized. It can do a barrel roll! Type “do a barrel roll” into Google, click “search”, and your browser window will do a 360 -degree spin. It’s a geeky reference to Nintendo’s Star Fox series, in which a wise old rabbit named Peppy (an intergalactic fighter pilot) advises your character to avoid enemy fire by pulling said maneuver. You can get the same fun Google tricks effect by typing “z or r twice” in reference to the controller buttons you’d press in the game. 13
Morgan Cutolo’ How many of these can you say without stumbling? Pulled cod… “Pad kid poured curd pulled cod.” A team of researchers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology say that this is the most difficult tongue twister in the world. Can you say it ten times fast? The psychologists who created this tongue twister said that people who attempted to say it either stopped right in the middle of saying it because it was too difficult or could only get through it once and weren’t able to repeat it. 14
