PRESIDENT'S WELCOME Hey Leland Lotsos! I hope you all have enjoyed the first month back to school. While we all get back into the groove of school life, it is important that as we focus on what is currently right in front of us, we take a step back and look ahead to the future – especially when things start to pile up. I wish you the best of luck as you return to your studies, and I look forward to seeing all of the amazing things you will accomplish this year. All of the stress, work, and expectations might weigh down on you, but I know you can handle it. Keep that smile alive because this year is going to be the best one yet! In Service Together, Tiana Nguyen
BULLETIN EDITOR'S NOTE Welcome back to school Key Clubbers! I hope each of you is excited to move forward and welcome the new members into our wonderful organization. These next few months of our lives may be tough and stressful, but don't give up too easily. In Service Together, Eugene Kim

Despite school having started this week, Leland Key Club was still up and ready to serve at the Williams Elementary IceCream Social & Movie Night. At the event, Key Clubbers aided our Almaden community by helping scoop ice cream for eager elementary schoolers (and their parents) as well as selling pizza, popcorn, and other concessions. As the movie Zootopia was showing, Leland Key Clubbers also made sure that the school was spotless. Overall, Leland Key Clubbers were able to help in an event where both parents and students are able to socialize with each other over ice cream, popcorn, and an adorable movie. - May Nguyen, Project Coordinator

ItALIAN FAMILY FESTA 9.26.16 Leland Key Club helped out the Italian American Heritage Foundation by volunteering at their 36th annual Italian Family Festa. This festival included many enjoyable festivities and exposure to Italian culture. At this event, Leland Key Club supported the food booths, food booth cannoli, water/soda booth, and as the festival greeters. Demonstrating leadership and inclusiveness, everyone took initiative and assiduously distributed food and managed money which contributed to the organization and efficiency within the booth. Also, all attendees at the festival were warmly welcomed and saw off by the members who volunteered as the festival's greeters showing no sign of fatigue or enervation through out the day. We also took the opportunity to interact with volunteers from other schools and cooperate to make everyone's stay at the festival memorable. -Chloe Dang, Project Coordinator
