e s' m o t c n l e e d W i s e r P Happy Summer Leland Key Clubbers! Even though school may not be in regular session, there are still plenty of reasons to keep your friends (and your love of service) right by your side. As we are a few weeks into summer vacation and away from school, I hope that doesn't mean a few weeks away from your last service project. BEE sure to keep up with your volunteering as well as summer homework assignments; make the most out of your summer with your time off! In Service Together, Tiana Nguyen
Bulletin Editor's Note
Hey keyuties! Hope you guys are having a splendid summer break and spending time with the ones you care most about. Despite the fact that it’s summer, make sure to volunteer as much as you can within the time you have. Also, make sure to plan things ahead of time so that you don’t struggle as much when school starts again :) In service together, Eugene Kim

"I'm so glad I decided to go to KCTC; although I was hesitant at first, everyone was extremely welcoming and I had a lot of fun! The workshops were engaging and fun to go to; it was also another great opportunity to connect with our division. I was able to meet so many new people and reconnect with people throughout our region that I'd met at DCON. I would definitely recommend anyone that's interested to go next year's!" -Katherine Chen, VP

Key Club Training Conference
PAST EVENTS June 18, 2016 | Dancin' on the Avenue Leland Key Club utilized our organization and initiativetaking in managing one of the water pods spread across the event avenue, working with each other to keep the station running smoothly, giving the adult coordinator one less thing to worry about. We helped the Willow Glen Business Association in their 21st Annual Dancin' on the Avenue, and built trust between our members and with the adult coordinator for future events. - Esung Dang, PC
June 5, 2016 | Feed the Need 5k Leland Key Club contributed to Loaves and Fishes, a soup kitchen dedicated to providing food security, by installing water stations for the organization's Feed the Need fundraiser. Our presence enabled the head organizers of the event to focus on managing their registrants instead of being forced to spread themselves thin carrying out other tasks. Volunteers often employed the Key Club value of caring through guiding runners around the multiple routes and providing any aid when it's required. We also expressed inclusiveness by offering constant encouragement to the hardworking runners throughout the race. All in all, Leland volunteers remained consistent with the principles of Key Club and stayed committed to the task at hand. - Edward Park, PC
