Kerry Bilson talks to Greetings Today about the concept behind Letterbox Love

Tell us a little about Letterbox Love.

Letterbox Love is a jewellery gifting business, well known for our sentimental bracelets, which are designed to bring comfort, positivity and kindness. We are a husband and wife-run business that started in the chaotic year that was 2020. Letterbox Love has gone from strength to strength, from winning Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur awards to taking on corporate gifting projects for the likes of Team England at the 2022 Commonwealth games. That year saw significant growth for Letterbox Love as we moved into our second premises and proudly featured in national publications such as the Daily Mail, House & Garden magazine to name a few! We supplied bracelets for the VIPs at the Capital Summertime Ball 2022, were stocked in shops worldwide, and there is much, much more to come.

You began during the pandemic? Tell us more…

I’ve never been one to sit still and although still working full time in recruitment, I was overcome with ambition. I wanted to make the most of this spare time I now had, so overwhelmed by the news and in awe of the incredible people that were working hard to keep us safe and keep the country going, I knew I wanted to find a way to spread a little positivity in the post. I found writing the poems really calming and before I knew it I had a little collection of bracelets that were selling quickly on Etsy! Liam saw the potential for the business; he quit his operations management role and spent his days building the website, optimising sales platforms and gearing the business up ready for me to quit my job to do Letterbox Love full time alongside him!

Explain what ranges you have.

We are constantly working on new ranges and are currently working with a talented illustrator for our recent Fairytale Friends Collection. Others include Congratulations; Birthdays; Pick me up; Wedding; Seeded Card

& Wish Bracelet; Friendship; Family; Mens; Birthstones. Plus, Cities and Regionsthis is a bit of a unique selling point for us; if any of our stockists are in a tourist spot and would like a specific bracelet about the area, we can design this with them free of charge - we just ask that a minimum order is met. I have had a lot of fun with this range and already produced some beautiful bracelets for the Lakes, London, Yorkshire, Northumberland, and Cornwall to name a few.

If retailers could only choose one range or a small selection to stock - what would you recommend?
