LCC Health-Related Courses provide training which are satisfying and provide rewarding careers in fields that serve others and improve the health and well-being of individuals in the local and surrounding communities. Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, health insurance organizations, outpatient clinics, physicians' offices, hospice, and mental health facilities to name a few.
Includes the following classes: Activity Coordinator, EKG Tech, Healthcare Billing & Insurance, Medical Coding, Health Unit Coordinator, Lab Assistant, Medical Assistant Refresher, Medical Interpreter, Medication Aide, Medication Aide-Adult Care and Nursing Homes, Nurse Aide I and II, Nurse Aide Refresher, Nurse Aide II Refresher, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy, and RN Refresher.
If you are interested in short-term training opportunities in the health-related field, LCC and the Continuing Education Division offer a wide variety of health occupation classes that may lead to a certification. The division's commitment to our students, the development of the local economy and a sense of community is shared throughout the various programs and across campus. Classes are offered in Lenoir, Greene, and Jones Counties. Some classes are offered in a hybrid and online format.
