ABORIGINAL NEWS ART AND PAINTINGS X-ray painting was mostly used to draw animals with their body parts.

Aboriginal people don’t have a written language, so to share their stories they used artwork with symbols. They had different styles of painting, like rock painting, dot painting and x-ray painting. They used symbols to show people, animals and nature.

They use paint colors like yellow (representing the sun), brown (the soil), red (desert sand) and white (the clouds and the sky).
