EULOGY: REMEMBER ME
To the living, I am gone
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated
But to the happy, I am at peace, and to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity….Remember me.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, and your memories.
Of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.
We are most grateful for the gift of friends like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow.
Your prayers, donations, calls, flowers and every act of kindness, have given us strength and inspiration for the facing of this hour.
With love from the Woodard Family
May God ever bless each of you.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
REMEMBERING CLINTON WESLEY WOODARD, II
In loving memory of Clinton Wesley Woodard II, affectionately known as AK-sion, aged 52, of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who peacefully passed away on April 28, 2024, due to a sudden heart attack.
Clinton was born on November 6, 1971, in Brooklyn, NY, marked the beginning of a life filled with love and support from his parents, Jessie and Clinton Woodard As dedicated parents, they strived to provide Clinton with the best opportunities and values. They instilled in him a deep sense of respect and emphasized the importance of education, Clinton was also fortunate to have a sibling, as his parents had two children, creating a close-knit family environment.
As a child, Clinton attended Montessori Academy and later enrolled at PS 235 for his primary education His parents recognized the significance of a strong educational foundation and ensured that he received quality schooling. Clinton's journey of learning continued as he moved on to Winthrop Junior High School, where he furthered his education During his time there Clinton demonstrated exceptional academic abilities, particularly in spelling and vocabulary. His proficiency in these areas made his younger brother, Jermaine, referred to Clinton as a "Walking Dictionary " Anything Jermaine needed to know he asked his brother Clinton's willingness to share information made him a valuable resource for his brother.
After, he attended and graduated from Clara Barton High School, which played a crucial role in shaping Clinton's academic and personal development This allowed Clinton to pursue a higher education at Kingsborough College which provided him with opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of his academic interests
After college, Clinton proudly served in the US Navy for over two years and received an honorable discharge. During his time in the Navy, he met Karen and became a father to his firstborn, Mikayla Hodge He later found love and companionship in his marriage to Tasha, and together they created a beautiful son named Dante Woodard.
In his free time, Clinton took pleasure in indulging in his preferred beer, Heineken, and loved to wear his dark shades He treasured the relationships he built with his childhood friends from the neighborhood, who became a second family to him. They called themselves, “Church Ave Boys," and formed a tight-knit group Additionally, Clinton had a deep affection for his younger brother, Jermaine, and their bond was inseparable, like two peas in a pod. Their bond was so close, that they had nicknames for each other. Clinton would say to Jermaine “Hey Dirty” and he would respond “What’s up Dirt-Butt!”
Clinton had a knack for coming up with catchy phrases, such as "That’s a Boomerang," which meant something coming back to you He also had phrases like "Straight Comedy," "Klondike," and "Sex on the Beach" which meant, “negative”. These phrases were sayings only the inside circle understood the meanings of.
Music held a special place in Clinton's heart, with Tupac being his favorite artist He found solace in playing video games and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular workouts. Clinton was a dedicated supporter of the Pittsburgh Stealers & LA Lakers, passionately always cheering for his beloved team Professionally, he dedicated his career as a pest control specialist. He always came thru when you needed him.
Years later, Clinton's decided to move to North Carolina in search of a fresh start He resided there for three years, embracing the peaceful surroundings and finding inspiration for his future endeavors. Unfortunately, Clinton's journey came to an end, but his determination to bring about positive change and make people laugh will always be remembered
Clinton's memory will forever be treasured by his beloved children, Mikayla Hodge and Dante Woodard, his beloved brother Jermaine, his grandchildren: Zion and twin girls Meadow & Violet, his caring parents Jessie and Clinton, and a large extended family, including uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
