Linda Clay was born on October 3, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Helen Clay Her family relocated to New York City where she Russel Sage Middle School and Jamaica High School in Queens, New York.

She met Douglas Brown in her adolesent years and they begain a relationship as teenagers and married in November of 1970. From this union they had 3 daughters; Andrea, Alisha and Amena

Linda furthered her education at LaGuardia Community College in New York and earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services at Springfield College In Massachusettes.

Throughout her life, Linda touched the hearts of many with her warmth, kindness and laughter. She was known for her unyeilding faith in God, and being a protector to those she loved most.

Linda passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025 surrounded by family and loved ones. She is survived by her mother Helen Clay; ex-husband, Douglas Brown; daughters, dren, Imani, Amira, Alfred, Jordan, Chr n, Alfred Coney III.
