STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES On campus, there are numerous ways to get involved and gain practical experience. Serve on the student senate, write political columns for the YellowJacket student newspaper or serve as a student director for voter registration. There are plenty of opportunities available in the East Texas community as well. Work with organizations including the Gregg County Historical Museum, Habitat for Humanity, one of the many social agencies in the area and the City of Longview, or serve as a local precinct captain or tutor students in a local school. As far as national opportunities go, LETU students have held internships in many large cities, including Washington, D.C. Students in our program have worked with prominent politicians such as former Senator Joseph Biden (D-Del.), Senator John Cornyn (R-Tex.) and Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

In conjunction with other schools in the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities, LETU students can choose from several off-campus semester study programs, both nationally and internationally.
