Have you ever thought about a career in coaching or in a health-related field? Are you interested in the business side of sports? Do you have a desire to share your faith through the sport you love? If so, you should consider a degree in kinesiology from LeTourneau University. In the simplest terms, kinesiology is the study of human movement, and at LETU, we study movement from the simple to the extreme! With a degree in kinesiology, you can go on to become a number of things including: physical or occupational therapist, personal trainer, fitness director, facility/club manager, athletic administrator, allied health professional, church recreation specialist or teacher/coach. Our Programs - Students in the kinesiology program at LETU receive a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and can choose from four concentrations: • All-Level Teaching and Coaching • Sports Management Minor: • Coaching
• Exercise Science • Sports Ministry
WHICH CONCENTRATION IS RIGHT FOR ME? The degree concentrations offered with LETU’s degree in kinesiology are tailored to equip you with the skills needed to succeed in the field of your choice. The teaching and coaching concentration will prepare you to become a teacher or coach at any level (K-12). If you wish to attend graduate school or work in the allied health profession (physical / occupational therapy, sports medicine), the exercise science option will prepare you for either.
