Alphabet Races

Page 1

I was happily walking along one day, when Oscar Orange asked if I’d play. He told me he’d built a special place, to hold a Letterland alphabet race.

He said that I looked quick on my feet, and asked if I would like to compete. I wasn’t sure how fast I could run, but it sounded like it could be fun.

All the letters stepped up to the line. There was one place left - they said it was mine. Some of them thought I’d be too fast, and decided that I should set off last! I quickly set off on the chase. It was going to be a difficult race. I soon caught up with Annie Apple, stuck on a rope she couldn’t quite grapple.
