Policy and Procedures

Air Conditioner Standards Window mounted Air Conditioner Unit for first floor windows only

Window mounted Air Conditioner units above the first floor windows of your home are not allowed and no structural modifications are allowed to accommodate window AC units.

Also, the following restrictions will apply:

Unit Size: 6,000 BTU maximum

Unit Weight: 46 pounds maximum

Power Requirements: 110 Volt, 5.6 Amp maximum. No 220 Volt units are permitted

Clear plexi-glass material or plywood material painted to match the color of the window frame must be used for all exposed areas of installation.

LMC will not be responsible for added electrical loading imposed by your equipment. (i.e. added utility costs on your Minol utility billing).

LMC will not be responsible for any damage to the window or structure, including but not limited to window warping, mounting hardware damage, condensation leakage, or residue from foams or tapes, charges may apply for these damages.

Mobile/Portable Air Conditioner Units Mobile/Portable Air Conditioning Units, where the unit remains inside the home and vents through a window are allowed on all floors (1st & 2nd story rooms) with the following restrictions.

Unit Weight: 80 pounds maximum

Power Requirements: 110 Volt, 10.8 Amp Maximum. No 220 Volt units are permitted

LMC will not be responsible for added electrical loading imposed by your equipment of existing usage (i.e. added utility costs on your Minol utility billing).

I, ________________________, am requesting authorization to install an Air Conditioner(s) within my home. I am aware of the guidelines as stated and I agree to comply. I understand that all installation, removal, and maintenance expenses are my responsibility and it is my responsibility to follow all installation policies and procedures. I am aware that upon move out I will be required remove the Air Conditioner(s) and restore the area.

IMPORTANT: Installation can not begin until you have received confirmation from LMC that all approvals have been completed.

I have made contact with the LMC to begin the AC Installation process. I understand that I must first fill out this form in its entirety and bring it back or email it to LMC I acknowledge that installation cannot be done until I receive a call from the Service Coordinators with LMC stating an approval has been given and a work order has been created. At that time, I will provide the date I plan to install mv AC unit/s.
