The month of February is Resident Appreciation Month and Liberty Military housing wants to thank you for your service and living with Liberty. We recognize your contribution and dedication to our country, and we are honored to serve you with a quality home environment.
To show our LOVE for our residents, we are offering FREE cookies at every district office on Valentines Day, February 14th. This is a token of appreciation for choosing a Liberty Military Housing community to call home. There is no need to sign-up this, just show up!

Below are a few commonly asked questions from our residents that you may have been wondering about too.
How do I submit a work order?
All maintenance work orders can be submitted one of two ways: Submit a request or check the status of a request at any time with the Liberty at Your Service App. You can call our hotline Liberty at Your Service 24/7 at 1-888-578-4141.
I am getting a new pet. What do I need to do?
All homes are required to have a 250 pet deposit and a PetScreening profile per pet. If a new pet has been added to your family, please contact your designated district office to send you the appropriate forms.
Where can I find information about my community?
All information pertaining to your specific community can be found in our Living with Liberty Guide. Here you will find information on community contacts, hours and locations of community amenities, military family resources, how to submit a work order and much more!
Do I need a renter’s insurance policy?
All residents are required to have a $100,000 renter’s insurance policy. You must provide your district office with a copy of your updated renter’s insurance policy to avoid any fees.
We strive to provide the best service and value to our residents. To make it easier for you to give us honest and timely feedback, you can receive resident surveys via text.

Resident Shield Renter’s Insurance
All residents are required to have renters’ insurance with a minimum of $100,000 in personal liability coverage. This is to help protect you when unforeseen damages are caused to the home and/or your personal property.
Don’t have renters insurance?
All residents who do not have renters’ insurance are placed onto the Master Policy which is a resident incurred cost of $9.08/month ($7 for premium + $2.08 administrative fees). This coverage does not include coverage for personal property.
To be removed from the placed Master Policy, you must submit your own proof of coverage renters’ insurance.

Improve Your Commute

Commuting to JBLM on I-5 can sometimes be a hassle. Standstill traffic and rainy or foggy conditions can contribute to a not-so-fun drive. JBLM offers alternative commute options that can reduce driving alone, save money, reduce wear and tear on your personal vehicle, and positively impact the environment
All Department of Defense employees are eligible for up to a $280 transportation subsidy per month through the Mass Transit Benefit Program. This means your commute to work could potentially be free or very inexpensive. This benefit can be applied to mass transit fees such as a vanpool fare or riding the bus, light rail, and ferry.
A vanpool is a group of five to 15 people who share a ride to work in a van that a transit agency provides Vanpools are available within several counties in the area Thurston County residents will join a vanpool with Intercity Transit and Pierce County residents will ride with Pierce Transit Get started by searching your county and the word “vanpool” to find more information on signing up No need to worry if you don’t have a group of people to sign up with; your county may already have an active vanpool on your route to work that you can join.
Vanpool makes it easy by also providing emergency ride home reimbursement, so you are covered if you need to leave work before your vanpool If there’s an emergency, take a ride-share home and get reimbursed for the expenses.
JBLM also offers a convenient and inexpensive way to get around base with Go-Transit. Go-Transit offers public transportation to popular spots. It is a free shuttle service that everyone on base can utilize. Ride Go-Transit when travelling between troop billets, places of duty, and dining facilities Download the “TransLoc” app or call 253-4773717 to schedule a ride Meet new people on your ride and get around JBLM quickly and easily.
Along with vanpooling and Go-Transit, carpooling, biking, and walking also help reduce emissions and positively impact the environment and your health.
